UT's chance at March Madness

You're a fool if you think Ole Miss can run away from Vandy. It took a 40ft shot at the buzzer for Ole Miss to beat Vandy 2 months ago and this ain't the same Vandy. They've won 6 of past 7.

And just who has Candy beaten worth a damn in those 7 games? Ky? That's it and it's arguable if they're even worth a damn. They've feasted on USCjr, Auburn, Miss St and marginal Ark and needed a miracle to beat UGA at home. If Ole Miss loses it won't matter. Candy doesn't match up with Mizzou just like they didn't with UT this year.

Pretty sure today's SEC games are on ESPNU back in Jax, for those who cannot find the Missouri game on a local channel.

EDIT: Actually, it looks like ESPNU only had the two afternoon games. I DVRed the Bama game, "our" semifinal, and the final. I'll delete them all when I get home. I rarely ever keep recordings of losses. I have the Mich. St. Elite Eight loss, and I think I still have the '08 SECT loss to Arky, because of the rarity of the event, and the fact that I made it into GT.

If you got into that game at GT then you were indeed lucky.

If ole miss loses, does the fact that we actually won a sect game give us any edge on ky and ole miss?

Doubtful. Miss St is bad. However, Vandy was 15-16 coming into the game with a bad rpi. You don't need bad losses this time of year. UT avoided one, Ky didn't.

Haven't been on here since the game started.

I think we are in as long as ole miss losses.

Is that the vibe??

Ole Miss losing helps.

Need Maryland and Bama to lose tomorrow games...and need no bids stolen. Memphis win C-USA, Utah not winning Pac12, Vanderbilt not winning SEC

Those things happen and we've got a decent shot.

If ole miss loses, does the fact that we actually won a sect game give us any edge on ky and ole miss?

It shouldn't matter. The reason we got that win, and they didn't, was because we were seeded lower and thus had to play a Thursday game.
