UTSA attendance, who's going?

The University’s initial sell sold out. The secondary market is definitely not sold out.
By that definition, nothing is ever "sold out". Regardless of the event, there are always tickets for sale on the secondary market.

It's sad that you expect 30,000 so called Tennessee fans will not show up for a game when the team needs as much support as it can get. Tomorrow is when all fans need to come out and be as loud as possible.
put a product on the field people want to go see instead of one we want to switch off of and onto other games.

I'm going because I was gifted tickets but I wouldn't pay for the product on the field currently.

I would watch it if I was somewhere where I could get the SECN. I’m in Lake Geneva WI with my girlfriend and I doubt if any of the numerous bars here will have it.

Agreed. I am not excusing the lack of effort in the Swamp. This team needs to be better. But, it would send a poor message to the team, and recruits, if all it took for our “best fanbase in the world” to quit is one bad game in a place we haven’t won in 20 years.

It’s up to the fanbase to do our part and ensure the snobbish talking heads like Pat Forde and Joel Klatt are wrong about our programs “duping” people and not being any good.
The only people who can refute media who say we aren’t any good are the players that take the field and their coaches. Call the media snobbish all you want but so far they have been right about this season. Take off your orange sunglasses and you’ll see this team is soft, undisciplined, not hungry, and poorly coached. We’ll see if Heupel can turn it around, but right now this is a 7 win team at best.

This. Apparently, if you call it like you see it, you're not a VFL.

It would be different, and has been in the past, if I felt like the team was "Giving It's All". Therein lies the problem. Over the last two games, there have been disturbing signs of less than their best effort, and in some cases questionable effort. That's my issue with the 2023 edition of UT Football.

The whole is less than the sum of its' parts. There's a problem there somewhere, and CJH needs to find it and fix it, like yesterday.

Go Vols.
You’re telling the kids that didn’t bail on your university that they aren’t worth your time or support.
Go for you.
You’ve got a ****ed up idea of what it means to be a VFL.
Don’t celebrate their wins or sing their praises when they turn it around. It will be worth noting to them

I’m as disappointed as anyone in the Florida loss, but it’s a 4:00 game on a Saturday in late September and the weather forecast is beautiful. If we only manage 70k - 80k for this game after one loss this year following our best season in 15 years our fanbase is pathetic. No one should be giving up this early.

That being said, I expect it to be mostly full. Maybe 90k at the minimum.

I’d be unpleasantly surprised at anything less than 95k.

It’s been 3 games, and besides the state of this team has zero bearing on the program itself and how far it’s come. Yes, the media is snobbish and reactionary which is no surprise. Nobody has been “duped” and the program isn’t falling apart like many in the media are trying to say. Fans refusing to go to a 4:00 game on a Saturday this early in the season would certainly help those media members sell this fantasy that Tennessee is a mess again though.

I had no problem finding someone to take my 2 spare tickets.
If most people understood how easy it is to transfer/sell their tickets digitally there should not be an empty seat. There are more than enough people willing to pay $25-50 per ticket to fill every seat ( I say $25 because that probably enough for every ticket holder to go to the effort of transferring he ticket and I think $50 is the face value for this game

I only go 2-3 times a year and there is always someone in my seats when I’m not. Most of the time there’s a waiting list. I don’t sell them. Just give them away.
Edit: no way in hell I’m missing Ga this year.

Mhmm he'll need your generous donation for that.

Rather than work on a solution, he just closed gates 16 and 17 directing the non-premium seating customers to go stand in line at another gate, oh well, typical Tennessee response to a problem with the fan experience

It is really hard to see so many people just willing to throw in the towel or just not want to go, all because we lost one game. I haven’t been to a home game since 2021 due to living very far away. However, I was on campus today, and I can’t understand why people choose to do something else. As someone who attended school there and now gets to enjoy everything as an adult, I can’t imagine doing anything else on a Saturday besides giving my all for Tennessee!

How many will be in attendance this Saturday? The student section is sold out so hopefully they all attend.

Unfortunately the Mrs. and I can’t attend, so I’m selling my tickets. Usually I receive numerous responses but this week has been different.

I think there will be about 90k in attendance.

Thoughts? Go Vols! Let’s get back on track!
I'll be there with my wonderful daughter!

I accidentally merged this with the Joe Milton thread. I think everything is back to normal but if a post or two is in the wrong thread, now you know why. lol

👏👏👏. Thanks for doing your part buddy, bravo, and I’m saying that because there has been many times for me and remember going during the Dooley, Butch and especially the Pruitt fiasco against BYU. Y’all think about that just a moment. Just a moment. If you’re only going because you were ‘gifted’ tickets, then find a young VOL’ in the making kid and give them to him or her, at least there’s hope for their fandom. You, not so much.

I will there as always. Im not completely sure why after the first 3 games.. but i will be there... I may have issues....
Well since they just found 1 mustard bottle at the Ole Miss fiasco and you have 12 in your AVI enough for each game so you need to be there at all 12 games packing the Mustard.

I can speak for 2 butts that will be in the seats in X2 today...until we start breaking some big plays...we'll be standing for those, of course.
