The game after the swamp and the week before the cocks and espn believes they are one of the top group of 5 teams in the country. I absolutely know we are leaps and bounds better and should win easily but man that game just has trap game written all over it.

I have my final therapy session for my bvs this Tuesday might feel better after that lol

Regardless thank the lord football is back and Go big Orange 🍊

We will hang 40 or more on everyone except Georgia and Bama at home. So unless you think they can win a shootout, say 45-42 and keep the ball away from us then no they don't have a prayer. I mean we scored 38 on the Gamecocks and only had the ball 20 minutes to their 40, so two points a minute in the worst game we played all year. These type teams can't keep pace with our offense even if the D doesn't play their best.

UTSA is a very good team and I expect them to give us hell for a while. Especially their QB vs our DBs. If we turn the ball over a bunch of times this could go to the wire. If UT doesn’t make turnovers and etc then we should pull away in the third qtr.

Or said differently, VOLS by FIDDY.
UTSA is good, great coach, good experienced QB but no comparison to the VOLS. I would be happy if they scored 14 on us as I like UTSA, live right outside San Antonio, however, I'm all VOLS and I would hope we put up at least 35 or more on them. This is their first year in the ACC. I would think we would put a lot of pressure on their QB.

Every game except Peay and Conn concerns me. That's just football.

I feel great about Milton and this team, and special teams could be even better than last season. But this is also the first time this program has started a season with a target on their backs, and defensive coordinators have had time and motivation to take this offense seriously.

Our offensive line could be better as a unit, but we lost some serious individual talent. How will that play out?

We have added more talent to the D-line, but most of it is young, and until I see our defensive backfield in coverage, I can't say that we have remedied the factors that helped SC hang one on us.

There are not many easy dates in this year's schedule. For sure, one of them is not UTSA.

We coming..........;)

I'm not worried, but I respect what that program is doing and where they are. They won't come in here and lay down, they'll fight. But if we play our game, we'll win.

They are projected to be a good team.

We should be a VERY good team. Playing at home.

Heupel has earned my trust enough to not be fretting about UTSA at this point.

Now, if UTSA walks out of Knoxville with a W, I am going to start questioning why we have dropped games the last two years that we had no business losing

If we win handily, we know the Vols are very strong. If we win close, we know the Vols are good but may be vulnerable against big time SEC opponents. If we lose, it will be a 7-5 year.

Nothing to be worried about. Last year put the Vols way ahead of schedule for rebuilding. Hopefully we are still ahead, but if not, then we are still on the right track either way.

Go Vols!

Purely out of years of respect for you and your avatar, for the next minute I will hug my stress pillow while murmuring the mantra, "Impede the Peay... We must impede the Peay..."

To prove I'm taking this seriously, I might even forego my morning Tamsulosin tomorrow.
It will be ugly.........just don't hurt our QB.;)
You need to be nice to your cousins.............

Yeah, that’s why I didn’t mention those teams…
I think he was responding to your "They are undoubtedly in the top half of teams we’ll face, " comment.

He listed 7 teams we'll face that he believes are better than UTSA. That's more than half. Meaning UTSA would be, at best, #8 out of 12.

Which means, indirectly, you DID refer to at least two of those teams, because you said UTSA were better than at least two of them.

Get it?

I get it, I guess if you want to be THAT technical about it, they’re slightly below the midline. Although I’m not sure I agree about a couple teams on that list. And I definitely don’t put much stock in what he says, in another post he had us going 8-4. We had an exchange, which I’m guessing is why he decided to pick my comment apart.

If this team is afraid of so-called “trap” games, if this coaching staff is vulnerable to “trap” games, then we as a program have no business being ranked in the preseason top 25 and we as a fan base have no business being excited about this season A-tall.
