We actually rode the bus from the hoops hof with marshawn Lynch’s mom and family that game. She was giving every Tennessee fan hell on the way over there, it was so funny. Wish I could’ve seen her after the game lolMan I can remember sitting in Neyland watching Meachem F'n OWN those DB's from Cal and when he went up for one along the sidelines and literally ripped it from the DB and ran untouched for about 55-60yds for a TD... Neyland was vibrating... all the CAL bench and coaching staff were all looking around wide-eyed like "what the F did we get ourselves into coming over here!?"
Those were the days.... hopefully they come back regularly SOON!
Do you realize that he's from a extremely small town in Virginia? I mean one that's way off the beaten path. He's not in a major metropolitan area. There are no bigger schools to just "switch" to.Was just hoping he might be moving schools so he arrives on campus more prepared to play against better talent is all
Could’ve been a private school that wanted him or he could’ve had an uncle near a bigger area. It happens all the time all across the country. I apologize for not knowing the geography of the state of Virginia though. Won’t happen againDo you realize that he's from a extremely small town in Virginia? Heath Shuler and Carl Pickens both played at schools with 500 or less students 9-12. I'm sure there are others more recent as well. Both played for excellent coaches that could have coached at larger schools if they'd wanted to.Was just hoping he might be moving schools so he arrives on campus more prepared to play against better talent is all
Don't get too far ahead. He has great physical talent. But that's true of a lot of guys who don't become stars. So, will Seldon be utilized in a way similar to Deebo Samuel with the 49ers? I think that kind of versatility would be an asset in this offense—a guy who can be explosive running the ball or split out wide. Glad to get this kid in orange.
The issue is that people don't realize when they might be being extremely inconsiderate. First off, his uncle posts here in the thread frequently and interacts with us in a very positive manner. Secondly, teenage kids don't usually dictate where they live or their circumstances. Lastly, there has never been an athlete like him in his hometown. There is usually some pride that comes from that for the kid, his teammates, his classmates, his family and the whole community. That is what life should really be about. Asking that question is the equivalent to saying "Glad to have you, but your hometown is sh!t!". Sometimes we should think a little about what we say before we hit the post button. Myself and others have had to have some self reflection from posting hastily. Some others just don't care.Yeah digging through 110 pages is easy. Don’t understand why people are knocking the guy for wishing seldon played in a more competitive division. He never slighted seldon or said he can’t be a good player.
He has a tendency to ask questions only to get people to try to defend something or someone. Unlikely he really wanted to know the answer.Yeah digging through 110 pages is easy. I never once said anything negative about him his family or his hometown. The reason I asked was because it seems like I remember someone on here saying something like “he will be a 5* once he plays against better competition” and thought it might’ve been in the works. I personally don’t care if he’s a 4 or 5, but the idea that someone may switch schools going into their senior year to make the adjustment to college easier isn’t disrespectful in the least. People do it all the time and it’s literally why IMG existsMaybe you’re just that shallow.
Follow the posting history of the poster you’re white knighting for and you’ll get a much clearer picture why he gets so much grief.Yeah digging through 110 pages is easy.
