‘23 VA ATH Cameron Seldon (Tennessee Commit)

The qualifier in a previous post was "this season". Assuming Milton picks up where he left off and stays healthy, I'd imagine nico won't have a big impact this year.
Well then it most likely wont be Seldon either. He's behind Wright, Small, and Sampson this year. If it's this year only, it will probably be Arion Carter or one of the DLineman.

Hush, man! Plove's in the chat!

I'd agree about Carter, I completely forgot about him. I'm hoping one of the freshman CBs picks it up quick a la Cam Sutton or Bryce Thompson

If the spring game is any indication I'll be surprised if they don't have some sort of package for Cam.

The only RB I've seen them use where they move him from the backfield to the slot.

Which makes our offense even more difficult to defend when you have a big fast running back that can turn into a WR at any moment. Literally how in the hell do you defend us?

Cam about to come to my house now, I'll see if he spill anything to me about them having a package designed for him this year. And let him check out you guys comments

Don't spoil it for georgia and bama. There be dragons (trolls) here

(I'm kidding totally spoil it)

Carter is still going to be a rotational piece for depth just like Cam this season, unless we have injuries at either position. You have veterans that will definitely be the starters. The biggest difference is that you almost always have two LBs on the field vs one RB. You will also have a lot more substitutions on defense.

Totally agree
How's he coming along with the pass/run blocking??That will be huge in the amount of playing time he receives. The only reason I ask is I'm sure they have packages installed just for him but also the other teams gonna know that as well.So if he only comes in for a handful of plays pretty good chance the balls going to him and that makes it hard to be unpredictable.

Now if he can master all that other stuff, then u can bring him in whenever and not take the chance on telegraphing the plays.Im on a quick break so my wording isn't the best so hopefully that makes sense but either way Go Vols and #WGWTFA no matter..

Yep, I agree with that 100%

See if you can squeeze any kind of info from him - we’re dying for some insider stuff!

I say things how I see it lol. Seldon is going to be a stud and he would start at most schools in the country. We just have one of the best RB rooms in the country IMO. Cam is the offensive player I'm most excited about after Nico fwiw

I agree. If one of our top 2 RB’s get hurt we will see a lot of Cam. I also guess we might see him behind Squirrel in the slot some.

That's true. We don't really have anyone that can play the slot outside of Squirrel and Thornton so if a RB or slot WR goes down, Seldon would have to be the next man up. Which would be fun especially with how we don't sub... I can't wait for that part of his game. Leaves the question of who is assigned to him to the defense coordinator and whoever he picks is wrong. Are you gonna bring an extra safety and lose a front 7 body? Are you gonna put a LB on him bc then he just goes to the slot and good bye... and so on

I think they work him in with special plays. If for nothing else but to show other recruits what they can do with his skill set. Excited to see what they come up with.

True but you could also play him a ton at the end in 4 blowout games and redshirt him. I'm not saying this is the plan, just an idea assuming nobody gets hurt... but Jabari Small has always had some shoulder problems
