'20 VA CB Karon Prunty

Just talked to his dad again...

So, pops said its up in the air and he's not persuading him either way. In a nutshell, SC is telling Karon everything he wants to hear. I think he wants to hear that he will be a lock to start and pretty much have his pick of where he wants to play on the field. Tennessee is being more honest.

This is a much different tone than our conversation after his visit last week. Sure 2 hours of travel is also playing into his decision, mostly with mom. But for the most part it appears the kid wants an easier path to immediate play time. SC is saying you can have what you want, Tennessee is saying you will have to work for everything you get.

It's 50/50. It almost sounded like dad was frustrated with Karon. He wants him to go to not take the path of least resistance because that's what happened at Kansas.

My very honest opinion is that we need kids who are willing to work. Not saying he isn't, but part of that isn't being afraid of competition. My gut says SC after talking to dad a minute ago. Very different feeling from a week ago.
Translation - He gone.

An "all American" at Kansas is very different from being an "all American" in the SEC. Still,

I'm not sure why he doesn't just stay in Virginia if he's just gonna end up at SC. Give me a choice and SC wouldn't break my top 20. Not sure what they're telling him.

Yeah at least at UVA he would win.

He's driving through NC to go to SC... UNC and NC state are much better options, and closer. So is VT
Yeah his hometown is like 6 hours away from Columbia.

About 9 hours from Knoxville.

Not enough difference to be a determining factor I would think.

Its easy road or harder road.

Definite start at SC immediately.

Or

Definite significant playing time with a good chance of starting at a better school.

It's simple Karon GBO!

Just shows that Beamer doesn’t know how to run a program.

Screw it, bring me the kid that left UGA after only being there a few days. Kid seems to have his head in the right place lol
I mean it's not over yet. Definite starting position is enticing. Can't blame him, but it doesn't seem any less than 50/50 right now.

Not an AA. Freshman AA. Huge difference.

Just can't wait till we don't need so many transfers. Hard to build chemistry with a team of newcomers and outsiders, that...for whatever reason...couldn't make it work at their last spot.

Obviously HAVE to do it this year, but hopefully transfers/JUCOs go back to being a smaller part of the process.

how is it different from SEC All American, it’s a national award. if anything it’s harder to be an All American as Kansas than a loaded SEC team. and it’s just freshman AA
