Something we all really have to appreciate is the fact that CJP is doing a great job of getting straight up athletes that arenāt puny people. Most all of them seem like great young men with solid attitudes & work ethic. Bright future for us vol fans.
The coaches have to be mindful of their relationship with the school and the possible negative publicity from a kid that talks publicly or to other recruits. If it is the recruits "decision" then there isnt a whole lot to be said. Sometimes slowing down the recruitment is the best way to do that.Ignorant question here - does anyone think that if coaches want someone to "git", they just start showing them less attention hoping the kid breaks up with them? To clarify, I think the idea out there is that coaches have tough conversations with kids and say you should look elsewhere, but does anyone think that maybe they just intentionally hit them up less, are less enthusiastic when hitting them up, and so on. Kind of like if a middle school is afraid to dump his girlfriend, so he shows his girlfriend less attention hoping she will dump him.
Sorry if this is a dumb question, I'm genuinely curious.
Considering our needs and who is still left on the board, there will most likely be some recruits dropped that some don't want to see dropped. I could see Howard as one of those possibilities. Coaches know who they want most, and what positions need to be tended to. I'll trust that.Highly doubt Howard gets shoved out. He plays well above his ranking.
Jay Jones probably gets the git sooner or later.
Howard has been told and said before that he will be coming here to play corner, though. His size and athletic abilities will keep him in the classThey both go.
Jay Jones is a Dooley recruit.
Howard is a smallish RB with not much upside. He's pretty maxed out. He won't get much bigger and he won't get any faster.
