UGA hasn’t wowed this year either. It’s never just one game. I was at the game, and the while the play on the field was less than stellar, the crowd and enthusiasm was impressive for an Austin Peay game. You can’t convince there are many schools and environments in college football for that type of game.I think the point he failed to make was we needed to “wow” him to keep pace with Georgia.
Wasn’t a very “wow” weekend. Is what it is.
I’m sure it was great. And I’m certain there aren’t many that can compete with ours.UGA hasn’t wowed this year either. It’s never just one game. Yea, I agree. While game atmosphere can have an influence, I’m just not a believer that one game outcome determines where a recruit goes. Beating AP 63-0 doesn’t mean anything either.I’m sure it was great. And I’m certain there aren’t many that can compete with ours.
But it wasn’t an A+ weekend. Not sure if it would have mattered anyways.
UGA didn’t have to wow. They just needed to hold their lead.
The game last night hurt us, anyone who says it didn’t is not accepting the reality of going stupid conservative. It hurts in multiple ways.
We did nothing to sell the program in game and if it’s known, why bring in a top 50 recruit and play like trash with a lackluster O gameplan.
Chris Cole did not commit to UGA because we beat AP 30-13. If you want to argue how it “hurt” us other ways, then fine. The game last night hurt us, anyone who says it didn’t is not accepting the reality of going stupid conservative. It hurts in multiple ways.

Depends on if there was actually still a chance. We don’t know that there was a chance.Yea, I agree. While game atmosphere can have an influence, I’m just not a believer that one game outcome determines where a recruit goes. Beating AP 63-0 doesn’t mean anything either.
I Jaír don’t ever see us sniffing their level of recruiting. At least I think our guy can outcoach theirs. Still-we got manhandled last year because of the trenches and we’re still recruiting all skill positions like Butch Jones did and expect to turn the corner vs UGA. Going to be really ugly next year when we’ve got no talent in upperclassmen on the oline.
-Matt RayCole definitely did a good job of putting the right amount of misdirection out there.. kudos to him on that. He was genuine in the visits he took imo. TN felt like the visit yesterday had gone well and by all accounts, it did. USC knew they had to knock the visit last week out of the park, and they felt like they did. Georgia tough to overcome on some of these elite defenders right now.
I don't think the game itself factored either way in this decision. If anything hurt us about the game it would have been fans yelling dumb sh!+ about current players. His mom was here with him, and that is not a good look. Being conservative to maintain a tactical advantage in the swamp is smart. If our players execute a very simple game plan, it's still a blowout. It was just an odd day. Lightning delay, not running through the T, receivers dropping balls, and terrible (one sided) officiating all contributed to a weird ass game. Still had no barring on this decision. The game last night hurt us, anyone who says it didn’t is not accepting the reality of going stupid conservative. It hurts in multiple ways.

Listen, I am upset about the game too. Heupel was upset and concerned about the performance from the team. You can tell by watching his press conference. He takes ownership of that in the video. Just because you have a standard of excellence does not always mean you reach it every single game. There are some days where you just don't have it.Every game is a showcase. Huepel doesn’t have a final 4 appearance or a state with UGAs talent. That means every visit and every touchpoint with top 100 players matter. TN didn’t live up to that yesterday. We either have a standard or we don’t. We want to be on GA’s level, then stop qualifying poor performances, and yesterday was, with excuses.
