Va Tech vs Miami

Told my son there was no way they are letting a Miami team that they have promoted the QB as the Heismen all day lose.

Also, I agree with the call. Ball was moving all the way through
Should not an illegal participation call been made on the Miami player laying out of bounds punching the ball out?

plus if there’s enough “clear evidence” to overturn, it would be obvious and a quick review. It was a 5 minute plus review therefore there was obviously no clear evidence to overturn it. I legit didn’t care who won the game, but I hate seeing crooked ass **** in this sport. Makes me sick

From this vid, it looks like the ball is loose almost the whole time and constantly moving. It’s just sitting in both players. So from here looks like the right call. Wish it wasn’t though.

“looks like” and “almost” have never been irrefutable evidence. There have been a ton of games decided on less evidence than this, including us “losing” Pitt.

That's not at all clear. I've watched that angle like 6 times and am still going back and forth on it. There just isn't a definitive look to overturn it. That reversal is pure politics. The ACC wants Miami in the playoff and decided to ignore the rules.

Brent Pry is fortunate that the focus will now be on the last play instead of his horrendous clock management in the last 90 seconds.
It was much more than that my friend. The squib kick at the end of the first half and fake field goal was a 10 point swing for Miami. This is why you manage the game correctly and not put it in the hands of the referees at the end.

I never said it was or wasn’t irrefutable. Just stating an opinion guy

Eh whichever it is you are right about ACC not wanting Miami to lose cause the rest of the conference is boo boo

Damn. We know why they made that call.

Miami is all the ACC has to make the playoffs

I mean, whoever wins the ACC is almost certainly in.

With the 5 highest conference champions getting guaranteed a spot, plus at this point the only team outside of a power 4 conference in any rankings at all (Boise State in one and UNLV in the other) being pretty much down at the bottom of them (25th and 23rd spots respectively)…it’s a pretty safe bet that the committee’s ranking for whoever wins that conference is easily going to be high enough that they’re in.

Miami is suspect too imo. They had some pretty wild bounces go their way tonight.
For sure, they’re not bad but not great but that’s the ACC’s only hope. The only thing they have going for them is Cam Ward. Any other qb they have or had on that team and it’s another 5-7,6-6 year.
