With the 5 highest conference champions getting guaranteed a spot, plus at this point the only team outside of a power 4 conference in any rankings at all (Boise State in one and UNLV in the other) being pretty much down at the bottom of them (25th and 23rd spots respectively)…it’s a pretty safe bet that the committee’s ranking for whoever wins that conference is easily going to be high enough that they’re in.

Pretty much whoever wins the ACC will be in this year.

This isn’t shaking out so far to be one of those years where the committee’s likely to go out of its way with their norm and give anything much higher than an upper teens to low twenties ranking to more than one champion among the Mountain West, American, Sun Belt, Conference USA, and MAC.

You said earlier that the call was made because Miami was all the ACC had to make the playoffs…were you not saying that to mean that if Miami didn’t win, the conference wouldn’t have an eligible team and wouldn’t make the playoffs?

Tangential to the topic and they won’t do it, but honestly they should put the Boise State RB among one of the current front runners at this point…almost 600 yards rushing and 9 TDs through 3 games is nuts.

But you laughed at a post claiming he was the front runner. He clearly is. And one loss wont knock him out. They make the playoff. Anyone who makes the playoff will have a shot. And your dismisall looks absurd. He is clearly THE current front-runner. And if you know how these games will go with that much certainly then I assume you gamble for a living

Just asking but...the ball never hit the ground, correct? If he had the ball when the ref blew his whistle, seems like a catch. I dunno really...tough call.

It’s tough cause as soon as he hits the ground it looks like the ball comes out and then it’s just sitting in like three players before the miami guy gets it. It’s whatever though not worried about miami if we see them in the playoff so doesn’t matter if they win acc.
