Vaccine or not?

No. The current vaccine does absolutely nothing for the predominant variant. Nothing. The new vaccine will supposedly be out in a month when it won’t matter and wouldn’t anyway.
Interesting. Is there data that supports that? Edit: re initial vaccine plus booster

Haven’t really kept up. What’s going on with Moderna? That’s the vaccine I had last summer.
It’s been reported that there’s a good chance Pfizer and Moderna manipulated their clinical trials data and that new will be coming soon that is bad for both of them.

CEO of Moderna sold 400M in stock and deleted his Twitter account.

I personally wouldn’t read too much into this. The explanation could be as simple as he thinks the COVID pandemic is about to end, along with the need of their vaccine products, and he wants to cash out while the valuation is high. And he deleted his Twitter account to avoid any questions regarding his motives.

This is all speculation, but it makes a lot more sense to me than a scenario where they faked their clinical data and are about to get exposed.

Nucleocapsid (N) antibodies are only elicited by natural infection. For some reason, according to that study, previously "vaccinated" people do not develop the same antibody protection after infection as those who did not take the shots.
Of fecking heck. If that proves out they need to shut down their own vaccines hard. IIRC they are Astra Zeneca not Moderna or Pfizer.

This would have been one of those great things to check before administering to the general public.

They arent selling a vaccine they are selling a dependency on vaccines.

Why does it make more sense?

I could understand you believing the moderna CEO believes the pandemic will end. But I dont see how that makes more sense his actions being influenced by data that may be coming out.

One may be more likely, but both explain the action in a way that makes sense.

Because one requires me to believe that there is a huge fraud that wasn’t sniffed out prior to the vaccine being released to the general public. A fraud that would not have been uncovered by review agencies in multiple countries and would have required the cooperation of dozens if not hundreds of people inside the organization.

While the other all I need to believe is he knows the stock value likely isn’t going higher, so he is cashing out now.

The second one has a lot less moving parts. So if I’m choosing a more likely scenario, I’m choosing number 2. Of course there could be other scenarios…and some they may be even easier to rationalize. My only point is that I wouldn’t immediately jump to the fraud conclusion.

There's also the Novavax vaccine that should be coming out. I think it's supposed to be more of the traditional vaccine technology that's been used over the years.

And what about the J&J vaccine? I read they had stopped production of their vaccine at one of their plants but still had plenty in inventory they were distributing.
