Russia has the hottest curling team top to bottom...the are the only one i've seen without an absolute walrus.

Currently watching the Canada/UK men's curling match, and if you curling fans get a chance to watch either team play, don't miss it. These guys are making unbelievable shots. It's at a whole different level than what either US team or any of the teams they have played can do.

Nice game between Belarus and Germany right now in hocket. Belarus currently up 4-3.

Make that 5-3.

I watched that last night. All the finesse and double hits were they were using were amazing. I can't imagine the amount of feel it takes to pull off those shots.

It's like watching a couple of top pool players, only if the table was in your back yard and they were standing in the front yard. All the curling I've watched this week has been the US teams playing other JV teams, so watching curling played at the highest level was astonishing.

I'm waiting on professional Curling to show up on Versus right after MMA and Bull riding.

Seriously, ours might be the worst two teams there.

NBC just did a 30 minute piece on the 1980 USA Hockey Team. I was fortunate to be able to see the game against the Russians live (not in-person, just live on TV). Although the US network was showing it on tape delay, I lived in Burlington, VT at the time and the local cable system carried the Canadian network which showed it live. For those of you that weren't around for the game, it has not been over-hyped over the last 30 years. Its still the most exciting sporting event I have ever witnessed, including any of the UT victories over the last 35 years.

The neutral ice play has been pure slop, probably because the guys havent had much time together.

On a side note, it pains me to root for all these MF'ing Devils.
