Let's remove Louisville from the equation altogether and just look at it like this, shall we?
A team entering the season ranked in the top five has what is perceived as an easy schedule. The team plays in the least respected BCS conference, but a BCS conference nonetheless.
Said team goes undefeated with this easy schedule. However, along the way, some of the "easy" teams end up being ranked by virtue of also being undefeated against "easy" competition.
By no means am I saying that said team should necessarily play for the national championship if there are two other undefeated teams with superior schedules. I'm saying that this undefeated team, despite their schedule, will be in contention for a top-two spot in the final BCS rankings. People in this thread, conversely, are trying to argue that not only will teams that lose ranked ahead of said team to begin the season won't drop because their schedules are "harder," but that teams behind them will pass said team after accumulating multiple losses because their schedule is tougher!
It's ridiculous and not how college football works. If Tennessee loses to only Alabama, Florida and Georgia (it won't happen, trust me), they're not going to shoot up from unranked to passing an undefeated Louisville in the rankings. Stop living in a fantasy land and realize the obvious potential that an undefeated team ranked in the top ten/top five preseason has for being ranked #1/#2 at the end of the season.
That second-rate UTC education is really showing its colors. Let's see how this delusion holds up in August.
I just looked it up. Looked at 3 different early rankings. Your not even in the top 15 on any of them.
3 different rankings and none of them were ESPN? I mean, I understand your hatred towards them considering they totally denied Tennessee its only opportunity at a Heisman and relegated Pat Summitt and the Lady Vols to second-tier behind Geno, but really? No Sports Illustrated or CBS either?
Did your paw-paw and muddin' buddies make some rankings about which I'm not aware?

Who cares about preseason rankings? They don't show any indicator of the future. I'd love to see Louisville play a real football team this season, but we won't.
Someone clearly doesn't follow news media at all if you really believe that one, and ESPN HQ is even in Connecticut. but hey, continue looking like an ignorant jackass for all I care. it's funny personally. You're trying so hard at this point.
Preseason rankings serve as a good indicator of what to expect in the preseason coaches poll. The preseason coaches poll is extremely influential in determining whether or not a team has a shot at the national championship, especially if they're from a "really terrible, nobody conference playing an embarrassing cupcake schedule."
So what are you debating, exactly? That UConn isn't the media darling (obviously ESPN being in Connecticut helps)? That's just a silly statement from anyone who follows "news media." That the Lady Vols aren't behind Geno and the Huskies? You're entitled to your opinion, but it's certainly not a common one outside of the Volunteer State.
The lady vols aren't behind geno or the huskies. and pat summit most certainly isn't. If geno went on and won every title from here until he retired pat would still be the most significant and important person in women's ball history. She was the George Washington of Women's Ball.
There isn't a single talking head (even UCONN grads for the most part) who would rank geno as a better coach than pat at this time. If he goes and wins 4 or 5 more titles and beats her wins total? sure, then discuss it. But nothing can take away her being the pioneer of women's sports. Even a troll like yourself can't intelligently argue that.
Pat couldn't play with the big boys so she took her ball and went home. She had her period of dominance in the sport and is a very important figure in its history, but she's not "women's basketball."
Who did more for the game? Pat. Who's the more successful coach? Geno. The same amount of titles in less time and with more parity (haha, parity in WCBB, what a funny word) throughout the sport.

Let me try and make it simpler for you.
Pat was a better coach, person, and pioneer than geno. If you don't think any Candace Parker led team would've beaten Geno then you are crazy.
The best lady vols team > the best UCONN team.
Best player? Candace. Yes, she was a better player than griner. Griner was more physical (with her penis and all) but as talent is measured, nobody could play all positions or do everything like Candace.
If you want to hate on football for the past few years, sure, they've sucked since their last east title. Hate on men's ball since pearl? Yeah, definitely. I do even.
But trying to hate on the greatest coach in a sport? that's just being an idiot and a troll. Even more than one that you have been already. I'll be the bigger man in this and block you now, because using strawman and troll arguments does nothing to advance a conversation or a debate.
congratulations on being a dumbass though. It takes a real effort to do that.
The best Lady Vols squad couldn't hold a candle to the best UConn team, just as Pat can't hold a candle to Geno. Keep believing that being a "better person" means something, though. It'll help you sleep better after Geno wins number 9 next year.
I really thought he was being serious about Louisville Football. Now, I know all this is a big troll when he said, "Geno is better then pat."
Done with this whole convo now. lmfao
Notabed22, are you still lurking here? I must commend your consistency and persistence. In honor of your disingenuity, we officially dub thee Sultan of selective, self-serving, circuitous arguments and the Prince of Pomposity. Unfortunately, the accompanying scepter already bore this inscription: To the most incorrigibly insufferable jackass to dishonor this or any other message board.
