Vanderbilt assistant responds angrily

Here:

Jones urging fans to sell out Nippert | UC Athletics Blog

That was one of Jones’ biggest gripes with marketing UC. They just did not sell out that high school-sized stadium. And there is positively no way to put 60,000 people in there. Jones was marveling at how amazing SEC fans are.

Some jerkwad Vandy coach took Jones talking about how awesome UT’s fans are to be an attack of them.

Of all the things on Jones’ agenda, I think “give a crap about what Vanderbilt does” is pretty low on the list.

He leaves that up to Volnation.

can we get a forum dedicated specifically to vandy?

for all the posters on VolNation that for some inexplicable reason seem to be enamored by all things vanderbilt / franklin...

I thought maybe it was just Vandy's HC who was that childish.

Who really cares what a Vandy coach says? One thing Dooley said was true, we always kick the ---- out of Vanderbolt. Preppy boys get over it.

I agree. Vanderbilt was never mentioned until Franklin got there. It's really sad.

I think it's more pity than anything. They actually think they are superior now.

Butch was on 3HL on Monday and Blaine asked if it was a shot at Vandy. He said it was just a nod to the fans and remembering where he came from. Nothing to see here except an annoying, yappy dog.

are franklin and the coaches on west end feeling pressure they are placing on themselves? they continue bragging on last years nine wins including a bowl victory . by that standard anything less next year will be a failure. oh well, maybe they will graduate 89% in 2013.

The standard at Vandy is lower than UT. If they go to A bowl game it's A good season. If they win 9 games it's A great season. If they beat UT it's like winning the national title. So yeah their fanbase is really happy right now.

The standards are lower at Vanderbilt because they're less accustomed to success. Which, of course, begs the question about how the vaunted University of Tennessee is feeling about a probable fourth-consecutive losing season.

On the other hand, if Vandy had 4 losing seasons in a row, it would just be the norm.

Lol. Vandy has little man (program) syndrome. cBJ wasn't even talking about them specifically but that's how envious programs react. Vandy is our little brother , to the West BTW, and always will be. Once their program is relevant for more than just a couple of years, then maybe they can start talking.

I don't even consider them a little brother, they're the SECs annoying red headed step child no one likes being around. They're like a mosquito, you don't think about them 99.9% of the time, but when theyre around, they're annoying!

He probably wouldn't have responded without the #Volunteerstate tag BUT it is Vandy and they do suck so I'm sure he would have said something anyways.

A lot better since we are staring down a top 5 recruiting class with a coach wh has won EVERYWHERE he's been a HC.

This sentence begs the question about how dumb the average Louisville fan is.
