Vanderbilt at Kentucky

You must be believe Vandy takes some kick/punt returns or turnovers to the house. That p.o.s. offense is lucky to even get them into field goal range. 20 points? Yeah, right.

As I was saying...

17-7 with 5:30 left in the 3rd and Vandy's only score was on an interception.

Vandy is an extremely awful version of Florida.

Both offenses are pieces of s*** and other than defense/special teams, they can't score. But Florida is much better at it.

Vandy... 0-8 in the SEC.

Mediocre performance by UK.

Vandy, as of about 1:30 in 4th, still haven't scored on offense the entire game.

The point of the second half, evidently, was just to run clock. 50 rushes and 30 passes overall for the Cats. I'd love to have seen 400 yards of passing and 50 points on the scoreboard, but that wasn't needed today. Vandy's QB sucks, so you just win as much as you need to. Defense played acceptably well with 3 INTs and in Freebeck's grill all day.

I'm ok with the score- it's a SECE win, and we stay healthy with our playmakers with USCjr coming in this next week.

UK's forums must be awful considering Littlecat was on here during the game talking to himself.

Littlecat doesn't know what he's talking about. They were sharp.

I'm assuming you are saying UKs uniforms are sharp? If so, I agree, they look pretty good. I wasn't actually talking about or referring to them though.

Ya, uniforms, not the play on offense. UK defense pitched a shutout with 3 INTs. They were about a sharp as you get.

So Mason just sat there and let UK run the clock out with two timeouts in his pocket. Its one thing to know that your team is bad and can't score. It is another to admit it to everyone.

Ya and he is taking some heat over it.

My thoughts:

I don't know why people on TV continue to suggest Towles is still the first or second best QB in the SEC East - his pick 6 really seemed to cost him a lot of confidence. Next week with USC @ home they will need him to stand confidently in the pocket like he did @ UF.

Defense played as you'd expect against Vandy. Henderson had a sure pick 6 and he started running before he caught it - other than that the D played well. Vandy never possessed the ball in the red zone, never scored and went 2-12 on third downs accumulating 139 total yards.

UK's stregnth on defense is rushing the passer, that has been the most consistant part of their team all year. Perhaps their biggest weakness is in the run defense. They played well against Vandy but there were still holes that could have been exploited by a better RB.

Overall their offense was able to sustain drives and keep UK's D off the field - next week they need to finish those drives to have a chance to upset what will be a pretty pissed off USC team.

I'm less confident of a win against USC now than I was a few days ago but it should be a game.

Idk, I guess I like traditional colors of blue and white. Not a huge fan of gray or black added, but it is what it is. If we win then I'm happy.
