Vanderbilt is just a bad match up for us

:eek:lol:
Yep, Ogilvy basically pushed Cousins all over the floor. I think Cousins only had about 20 pts. 18 rebs. But Ogilvy is obviously much more physical.

Huh? Dumb. Did you miss the more athletic and talented part?

Vanderbilt is still more physical than Kentucky, not more athletic and talented. Please read closer.

We don't play any defense, shoot the ball like ****, don't hustle, don't have any apparent gameplan to attack the zone -- in a rivalry game that was supposedly a "payback" game too -- and it's a "bad matchup"??

Everything about that was pathetic. The effort, the gameplan, the execution. There is no excuse for what happened tonight.

Yep. Vandy is just a lot meaner and tougher than Kansas. Vandy is basically fielding a prison league team this year.

Yeah, that's what I said. Please start responding to my posts when you are able to comprehend the argument.

This team doesn't shoot well enough or play defnse consistent enough to ever come back from 15+ at any point in a game.

Might as well try some 3's. They don't know how to get around that defense for some reason. The officiating in this game is HORRIBLE! They don't block out after shots and bad free throw shooting. Just a crappy game man. It is a bad match up though. Can't stand it anymore. Off to watch The Illusionist. Heard it's pretty good. :)

Uh, any team we play that has a better X's and O's coach than us is a bad match up. You give stallings any talent and he'll blow us out. Stallings is just a better coach than Pearl. Pearl is a better recruiter which disguises his lack of coaching ability which is most evident when he's put against better coaches in games like this or the tourney, he gets owned. "But he beat self with less talent than self..." I would argue the talent debate but regardless, that win over KU was a fluke, we all know it.

That is the dumbest post I have ever read from you, and that's really saying something. Cousins completely dominated Ogilvy. And it wasn't because he was faster and more agile; it was because he was way, way stronger. And if Ogilvy had guarded Patterson, the result would have been similar.

Who at Vandy is physical?

Jeez, I forgot that a loss brings out the anti-Pearlistas in full force and their stupid arguments. It's like spitting in the wind.

No. Stupid is thinking the reason we lost is because Vandy is a bad match up.

Oh, so moving on to go to excuse #2. If you make a dumbass argument that no one on the planet would agree with, just pretend that the ones that disagree are anti-Pearl people.

Stupid is writing off a no-effort, no-gameplan asspounding like that as just a bad matchup.

The losses also bring out piles of the excuse making lot as well.

Out of curiosity, what were we trying to do to get an advantage, on either end, tonight? Anything?

I can't figure that one out either. It's like they lost Wayne out there, he's most of your offense, feed him.

First of all, read the first post again, guys before saying this was the only reason I stated (hint: it's the part that says "no reason to get piss pounded").

Secondly, yes, they are a bad match-up and any team getting that physical with us will give us trouble based on the reasons I stated before. Every team is not the same, nor is every match-up. Kentucky is a different style team and the game will be played differently. Whether or not that translate well for us remains to be seen, but it did when we played very talented Memphis teams under Calipari.

So, yes, my argument does hold validity, especially since I didn't say it was the end all, be all of winning or losing. Of course, in the anti-Pearlistas and reactionaries agenda, anything short of saying we suck, our coaches suck, we have no gameplan, the most undisciplined players and a disgrace to basketball is "making excuses".

Sorry, that's just dumb fan talk, reacting to the most recent game and applying it to the larger arc of the season. For me, tonight was a poor effort against a team we don't match up well against, but that we are still 18-5 and in good position for the post season. Yes, we have our deficiencies, but so does everyone else.

What a dumbazz post deflecting from your other dumbazz post. Pearl has only been mentioned by 1 person in this thread.

I understand, and you're probably right. But the one team I can't stand losing to is Vandy, and twice. I just wonder why UT has problems playing consistent quality basketball.
