Too bad Troy Smith and company are still around to hang 40+ on Meeeeeeeeechigan and remove all doubt.

Troy Smith and Ted Ginn Jr. could very easily combine for 40+, however, Michigan should be able to put up just as much against Ohio States 2006 defense.

 Indiana and Illinois are bad but not Kentucky bad. I think the Cats would still be looking at 1-7/0-8 year in and year out in the Big Ten.

No offense, but get your facts straight, milo. Kentucky beat Indiana 10 of the last 12 years they played prior to putting a pause on the rivalry starting this fall. I think that pretty much constitutes ownage, don't you?

That said, I still don't think that we'd be greatly better in the Big 10. It's not the answer. UK fans are just sick of getting screwed by the $EC refs, and that's why this argument gets brought up most of the time.

I'll say this: at least the Vols always play a very tough non-conference schedule. You don't play the directional-state-polytechnical-school-of-the-blinds of the world.

Kentucky scheduled 3 cupcakes this year, but it's warranted. We're still trying to build something positive. There's no need to commit suicide by taking a trip out to Norman, OK or Austin, TX.

Florida may get a similar pass for playing FSU every year. But, I don't think UF ever plays a non-conference away game other than FSU. That means that UF's coldest opponent is UK, and that game is in September, which means that the coldest game on UF's schedule is every other year on the first Saturday in November at Vanderbilt. The Gators have succeeded in keeping it warm!

And this bugs the heck out of me. Until 1992, the Gators had to come to Lexington every year the 2nd or 3rd week in November, which can be quite chilly in Lex. Up to that period, we were pretty competitive with them. Then Spurrier got his way and was able to get the game moved to the 2nd or 3rd weekend in Sept. Since then, it's total domination by the Gators.

There is no doubt great Kentucky teams of the past would have dominated in the big ten.I could care less about Kentucky, but the truth is in the facts.

do you guys think michigan is going to suck forever.

nothing can hold that team down and the will return to prominence.

osu is going to be good but they wont hang 40 on michigan.

i look for a michigan win this year.

Maybe... Ohio State can still hang 40 on Michigan, the Bucks still have a very fast, very mean offense. The question will be Michigan's offense versus Ohio State's defense. With Penne still out there, I think Michigan can turn it into a shootout. Should be a great game this year as always.

How many field goals does it take to get 40 points, besides the fact that Ohio State lost 9 starters off of the defense? It will take at least 4-6 games to get any kind of continuity.

The Ohio State Michigan game will be one that turns into a slow down field position game.
