The funny thing is, I think a few people in this thread don't understand the real reason this is so bad, Because the slogan is just that stupid. Rape issue aside.

Anyone with half a brain knows that. However, given the context of a rape case that was a national story and is still ongoing, that wasn't the best choice of words.

It doesn't matter if it was meant to condone rape or if it was a football tweet. Yeah, we all know what they were referring to but this is a group of professionals who are paid to run their PR department. The world is just a very PC place now and it has been for awhile. It's not hard to see and anyone with half a brain realizes that. The fact that a bunch of grown men didn't see this is extremely embarrassing.

No one thinks they condone sexual assault, but that phrase is synonymous with sexual assault and rape. They could have literally used ANY other tagline and been fine. The rule of thumb today is if you think it could possibly offend someone, then it can and it will. Someone somewhere will think it is insensitive and in poor taste, and this time it actually was. You can't be so dumb to actually think this wouldn't cause a stir.
