It was the disastrous roll back of Trump policies that led to a large increase of them getting in. Want it? No. Dumb ideas/policy that the electorate will punish you for? Absolutely.

To be clear, you are saying Dems/Biden intentionally allowed Venezuelan gang members to come into the US? For what reason? Because they like bad press and losing elections? What's to gain?

And if they don't care, why did they increase screening at the border for this very thing?

Some of the ideas and theories tossed around here make absolutely no sense.

I was speaking on illegals as a whole. Of which the gangs are a part of that. Yes, I think Dems intentionally flooded swing states with illegals in order to help their chances in this election and future ones. Hence the STRONG opposition to voter ID laws by Dems.

The gang infiltration is simply fallout to them and completely irrelevant. The damage at border is done my man. That thing was wide open for years. You can't try to plug your boat when it's already at the bottom of the ocean.

I agree the ideas tossed around by Dems made no sense at all. Everything they seem to do is in opposition of the prosperity and safety of this country.

Fair enough.

This does not seem to be a winning strategy at all. In fact, it's one of the biggest reasons they lost this election, and I'm not just looking at it from a short term perspective. You can go back decades and examine and easily see it's not worth it. There are only 17.5m Latino voters. So 56-60% votes go to the D and that only means a ~2m gain there, but that's not a net gain because how many votes did they lose because of how they're viewed on immigration? It's one of the main reasons they lost blue collar male voters for seemingly good.

I understand what you're saying and it's fairly valid. The people holding office are idiots but where I see it differently is the people running strategy in the DNC can do this simple math.

Remember, under Obama we were putting families in detention camps and we had mounted border patrol chasing illegals with whips. Then Trump does it and the Dems went after him. They aren't who they pretend to be. They are actually pretty Draconian about the border. They use the media to make themselves look compassionate.

I just don't understand all the hysteria about this specific gang. I mean, I do understand it, but it's stupid. It's just politicized fear-mongering. I was at my cousin's last week, and he had Fox News on, and the story they covered for a good 20-30 minutes was about a robbery in NY that they think they had tied to TDA...genuinely, WTF? A robbery in NY? The crips and bloods are committing robberies every day in America. It's only a national news story because it scares people. Why aren't we scared of the crips and bloods, too? The answer is because we shouldn't be living in fear in either case. It's not real news. It's not newsworthy. I cannot believe that people in TN would let a simple robbery in NY occupy their minds like that.

TdA is some bad hombres but why exactly are we supposed to be so afraid? We've got a murder suspect. We've got one overblown story out of Colorado. What else? Ever since then, we've got the media desperately looking for crimes to tie to them and the best we got for a whole day's news cycle is a robbery in NY. I think this speaks volumes about how fearful we should be right now. Maybe the gang will become some huge problem. I don't really see how that's possible, but I guess maybe?

If LE's struggling at their jobs then they need to improve their methods. With all the resources allocated to them they should be able to handle these gangs as a matter of course. Getting the military involved in law enforcement is not what we want to do.

I see where you're coming from, and I generally agree. Rizzo was definitely a subpar human overall, but his techniques could be useful if applied against those gangs. Tren de Aragua, MS13, all of them.

No need to use a hand broom and dustpan to clean the excrement out of the stable...that's what the shovel already caked in road apples is for.

We'll line up the 15 YO gang members guilty of misdemeanors and simple assault and you can be the one to sentence them to death and shoot them in the head.

The really, really bad ones might see you in hell. Probably wouldn't be too many there with you.
