Can he practice if he hasn’t been officially cleared?

Pretty sure I saw Uros practicing as well so guess not.
NCAA cleared Uros’s TRANSFER...just not his eligibility to play on the court. Only thing holding up Vescovi was the clearinghouse. Didn’t think they could even practice without that being rubberstamped.

Or Barnes is a rebel and doesn’t care about rules.

From what I see in the video he should be playing soon. Right now we literally have no one who can penetrate off the dribble. We get some inside out action going and our shooting percentage has to go up. A lot.

If only Uncle Jed would've run drills like this instead of just rolling the basketballs out and scrimmaging at practice.

If he's cleared Thursday he'll play Saturday. But, I think I saw him miss at least one shot.
Lived in TN 27 years and never saw a miracle. Hope Rev Rick has one up his sleeve.

Dribbling wasn’t the problem. Bad decisions, poor shooting, and bad defense......that was the problem Saturday.

Not sure this guy can change those problems......right now (right away).

Hopefully he can help once he learns the system. However Tennessee needs to make more of an effort to get the ball down low, the guards need to hit their shots, and everyone needs to up their defensive efforts.

Then again: 9 points left at the FT line and 12 Points given up off TOs = 21 Points.
Ball security, FTs and consistent defense would go a long way.
If he can shoot and pass he'll help immensely.

Gotta get him out there. We need to be a drive and kick team, and a pick and roll team. There needs to be more movement on the offensive side of the ball. We are just so stagnant right now and it shows.

I mean Fulky and Pons are so good on the pick and roll, and idk why we don’t see it more!!

Did you just post, and then quote yourself on the very next post?? That’s impressive.

Imo, the dribble-drive and kick offense works well, unless you have very few that can actually dribble drive, and then even fewer to kick to that can actually make a shot.

Yea

I didn’t say he couldn’t help.

I said the problems (from Saturday) were turnovers, poor D and bad shooting......I’m fairly confident.....that is true.

If Tennessee is “still” going to shoot poorly, if they “still” are going to play lackluster defense, “still” going to commit a bunch of turnovers, and “still” not get the ball down low enough......I highly doubt he will help much......especially given he is a freshman who hasn’t been in the system.

Simply saying Tennessee has to stop the “bad” as this guy isn’t going to do it for them......being young he will prob add some.
