Vescovi scored just 5 points

Death by the 3….. we were doing fine with those crossing routes in the paint — And then we just started launching and missing 3’s. Ridiculous.
Wait - you’re not implying that a coach can make suggestions to his players? Like don’t keep jacking threes when you’ve already missed fifteen? Crazy talk.

2for18 in three point shooting is the only reason for this loss.Anything close to our normal trey shooting percentage and we win.Great season and thank you guys for all you gave including today. If the shots won't drop, you are pretty much done.

Totally agree. Michigan plan against Santi was excellent, and our defensive game plan in regards to covering Dickinson was horrific. Almost looked as if we had no game plan, and that we just through them out there and said play ball. Really don't understand continuing time after time Fulki or Uros helping up high on Mich guards and leaving Dickinson wide open after he set the high pick. Total lack of preparation and adjustments. We were definitely outcoached in a couple of areas. People can say bad shooting all they want. But give the Michigan coaches credit.
That is my biggest gripe with Barnes in this game. He stayed with Fulki and Uros as the bigs in the second half and didn't try and rotate to BHH or Aidoo. I thought BHH was doing a pretty good job against Dickerson.

Sometimes you live by the 3, sometimes you die by it….
there should've been changes at halftime to that living by the 3 doesn't matter until there's no other choice to take...hell driving into the lanes and ball screens to make a more higher percentage shot closer to the basket with the shooters on that team would've made better sense than living by the 3. But still a loss it still is. But the team needs a big man inside that can be dominate....not a role player but dominate

Thank god. The hate in Barnes for this loss is so absurd. We got outplayed at almost every position. Michigan hit the potential they’ve had all season at the very worst time for us.

They have had a good game/bad game all season in fact this is their first back-to-back win since January I believe. I think they have really good players that need extra incentive (NCAA) to play their "A" game. Although some of or a lot of their shots just looked like they threw it towards the basket and guess what it went in

I am down because of the loss, but if you are honest we have done this all season. We have days when we can't throw it in the ocean, usually when a big talented team puts defense in our face.Texas Tech for example did this to us.We rushed our shots a little because of the defense.

We gave up 44 2nd half points. I think top defensive assistant Coach Schwartz definitely had 1 foot out the door to East Carolina. Defensive game plan and adjustments were pretty much non existent.
I also wondered how into the game he'd be. One would think his mind would be on his new job and getting a staff together plus recruiting.

Vescovi didn’t even look to shoot this game. He got beat on a lot of plays and gave up points. He didn’t show up
You obviously don’t know much about basketball.
Kid busted his rear to get open but Michigan defended him well.
Yes, he has physical limitations, but you questioning his heart and effort looks small.

this.

Terrible seed. Our gutless fan base deserves this. Keep getting pushed around cowards.
Exactly what would you have us do, big man? Storm the NCAA offices?
Geeze….the lack of intelligence and common sense from some of our fan base is unbelievable at times.

We can get an athlete or a shooter but we can never seem to find an athletic shooter. Those guys end up at a blue blood program not UT

Lol. MI turned the ball over how many times? Defense can't win the game alone. Besides Chandler this was an absolutely terrible offensive performance. Vescovi was a non factor all game offensively. Hard to blame that on Barnes.

JJJ contributed on offense, just couldn't hit his 3's. Several were good shots that could have gone down but clipped rim, got a bad bounce and popped out Vescovi's guy was like glue on him and he couldn't develop rythm...so much that his few good looks didn't drop. Sv had a nice shot on a drive....he gets by his defender but his lack of jumping ability and slower release keep him from being aggressive. I'd like to see him develop a runner or stop, do one of his shot fakes and either draw contact or duck under.

I suspect that Vescovi was a big factor in Michigan's preparation. They didn't give him any decent looks the whole game. If the Vols beat them, they made damned sure it wasn't Santiago who did it.

Did not know about Santi"s turned ankle. He looked a step slower.Therefor, couldn't shake his man for the open three. When things don't fall, you press late in the game. Hats off to Michigan's win.We look forward to next year,in football and bb.Go Vols!
