Dont want to offend them, Dont want to offend them, Dont want to offend them. It goes a little far in cases like this I feel. Same type deal.

:hi:

A flyer was going to be handed out at work and it was not allowed because it included the word Santa and Holiday.

I need to get back down South quick!

That is what I thought, I am sure when the original plan came out that people voiced their concern and a compromise was reached.

That is America baby!

Shouldn't have ever been a controversy in the first place. Veterans/soldiers fire off weapons all the time. And I've never heard of anybody getting hysterical/uptight about a stinking 21 Gun Salute until this week...

Unless your an administrator at a college or university why would personally ever come into contact with any thing like this?

I guess this is what blows my mind about this discussion. They did not cancel the 21 gun salute, it was moved to the football stadium.

Rasputin/TVA failed to give the whole story.

It never should have reached the point where people got concerned. That is what is outrageous. And the decision for the compromise was made after the big stink was made to begin with.

Glad to hear they still had it go on. I also concur with the "society on eggshells" comment made by somebody earlier. We are the U S of freakin A and we need to start acting like it. School shooting? Here? Ridiculous! What the hell are we becoming? Im stopping now before the rant comes out..... just glad to see Veterans get recognition. Go US and pray for us.

It worked out.............. what is the issue?

:banghead2:

I have argued that then entire time, of course it was a bonehead move, but a compromise was reached.

And you continue to miss my point. It is a sad state of affairs when something like this is even making headlines. Sure, you can give BSU credit for reaching a compromise, but it never should have gotten to that point.

I'm sure there are plenty of activities that go on that are for more dangerous than a bunch of veterans firing off a few guns.

It never should have reached this level of concern... never should have.

I have gotten it....... a compromised was reach when a bonehead decision was made.

Isn't that what WE (America) are all about?
