is ridiculous. If you don't now, nor have you ever played for the team, then you don't get to make that call. People who agree with you and would make bad career decisions are VFLs, while other people aren't true VFLs... blah blah blah what the hell ever.

You are like a bunch of children. Have fun with that.

Wait...what? You have to have played for the football team in order to be a VFL?

No, but you don't get to make the call about people who have if you haven't actually given something to the University/program. Most of these idiots haven't

I see it as just letting that orange blood run through my veins. That's about it.. Go Vols.

Agreed. Ultimately, it doesn't matter who we hire to coach, who we recruit, if we go 0-12 every season... I will support my team. I may not be happy, but I will never give up. If there is one passion I have in this life, it's Tennessee Volunteer football, and it's been that way for over two decades, unwaivering.

I may not play there, nor have I ever gone there, but it does not change the fact that my family is a long lineage of Volunteers, and I will be one until I'm gone. I say I am a VFL with pride and confidence, and no one here can rightfully question that. Good day. :hi:

-I'll take VFFL. I have a huge Tennessee tattoo, and spread my father's ashes in the river right next to Neyland Stadium.

To be a VFL, you first have to be a Vol-- a student or alum of the University of Tennessee. Otherwise you're a Vol fan or VFFL.

As long as you aren't part of the idiot brigade with this "Boo hoo, Tee won't come here, he isn't a VFL" crowd, then you are fine by me.

So the guy don't want to help the school that gave him a chance and education and you think we should call him VFL? I'm not boo hooing, but we can turn this thing around without him.

At the same time, I know people who have never attended, nor plan on attending, the University, and follow every sport extremely close.

Also I know alumni who don't donate money nor follow sports..

As a current student at UT, I agree with this.

I hope you get to experience a year of greatness while still a student! It makes the experience all that more incredible. I was in school from 1996-2000. My memory of UT football was nothing but glory!

Can't blame Tee here. He tried to come back to us and was sent up the road to Kentucky! That has a ring to it, I think that has happened quite a few times, especially with players.

Urrr...well not including that loss to Memphis! That was pretty bad. Mostly glory!

I graduated from UT. Stupid post from somebody who obviously never went there to equate UT with only football.

I guess I don't get to be a VFL because of money and location.

Maybe one day.

Yeah I guess whenever my contract is up and I get out of the army I can go be a VFL. Never mind the fact that I woke up every Saturday during football season during deployment to game cast Vol games before missions..

Maybe he didn't like Butch Jones and doesn't want to work for him. Maybe his wife is adamantly opposed to moving to Knoxville. You think because he played here he's forever obliged to immediately work for UT whenever asked regardless of what else is going on in his life?

This.

Some of the logic and vitriol on this board lately is astounding. Who is anyone to claim who can and cannot be a VFL. Jesus Christ people grow up.

I would have loved to have Tee here, but he chose what is best for him. So be it, we will move on.
