I actually liked the S&C guy that Dooley brought in from South Florida (forgot his name). He put a lot of emphasis on team building exercises which I liked. He was energetic and the players seemed to love him. I had actually hoped CBJ would retain him but obviously coach Jones wanted to bring in "his guy." A lot of time a S&C coach gets blamed for things he shouldn't. Usually he is following the requests from the head coach in terms of how the players train. Obviously Dooley was all about size and didn't put a lot of emphasis on speed and quickness.
Pretty certain Dooley had two. The shorter African-American that left and then we got the special forces USF guy. Of the two I did like the second guy better but I never met either one of those guys. IMO, Dooley got that from Saban but Saban recruits such fast guys to begin with adding to their frame isn't killing them. They did look slower against OK against those quick receivers.
