Kickers are one of the more important people on the team. We know that first hand as Vols fans. The Nova kicker missed 2 tonight. This should be over and would be with an average kicker. This guy is subpar it seems.

Well that's sort of my point. If SEC teams with 85 scholarships don't all have quality kickers every year, and clearly they do not, then how likely is Villanova to get one?

True.

It's really amazing though that there aren't enough kickers to go around that can be taught to make 20 yard kicks.

If you're not good enough to play college ball but love football, might as well give kicking a go. It's a way to be part of a college team and get a scholarship. And who knows, if you make it pro you'd get at minimum of like 500 grand a year. I'd be a kicker if I could be. That would be sweet.
