Villanove @ Syracuse

If you're not good enough to play college ball but love football, might as well give kicking a go. It's a way to be part of a college team and get a scholarship. And who knows, if you make it pro you'd get at minimum of like 500 grand a year. I'd be a kicker if I could be. That would be sweet.

Its one of the jobs in the NFL that won't get you injured.

Looks like Nova is gonna need a touchdown unless their D comes up big again.

True.

It's really amazing though that there aren't enough kickers to go around that can be taught to make 20 yard kicks.

It clearly has to be a hell of a lot harder than it looks. I mean, I-A teams like Tennessee can afford to have three or four or five kickers sitting around on roster, and sometimes they still can't find someone who can consistently hit short kicks.

Cuse really just needs to roll the QB and have a receiver or tight end stay in front of him for what would probably be a wide open td

Wasn't Bironas just a soccer player turned kicker because he wasn't good enough for soccer? Maybe teams should go ask some soccer players that aren't athletic enough to come kick for them haha. Bend it like Bironas.

Cuse may as well go for it. Nova needs a touchdown because their kicker will miss a 20 yard kick anyways

A lot of teams do that. Last night, i think it was the Ole Miss kicker who had never played in a football game before. He kicked like a 70 yd punt, he was an Aussie rules football player though, not soccer.

That's awesome. Minus the part of him playing for an SEC team. We'll get to see him first hand against the Vols this year.
