Violence after the game.

Yeah, he's hard to figure. Only one regular season loss outside UM. And no wins against them.
Good coach but seems to fold in the big clutch moments and freeze up.

As the crap was going on after the game, there's that clip of him asking "What's going on?" after staring at the melee for several seconds. A perfect representation of his coaching.

He's normally got enough players with raw talent to weather the storm without adjusting but when he needs to adjust on the fly, he just freezes. It's like he's made up his mind that "this will work no matter what" when it clearly won't.

And with their typical schedule year after year, it doesn't get exposed too often.

Correct. He's Dabo-esque.

It's pretty easy to look good when you can out recruit your conference and play one or two really talented teams in the regular season each year.

Granted, Clemson and Ohio State have had some great players but they aren't beat all to hell by the end of season because of their schedules.

My namesake planted a UF flag in Neyland’s checkerboard end zone nearly 30 years ago without incident.

This is much ado about nothing.

Beat your hated rival at home.
The problem is that more often than not, there will be an incident, and it's the kind of thing which can quickly escalate into punches being thrown. Why take such an unnecessary chance over something so childish in nature? A massive brawl is not "nothing." How about just celebrating without taunting and being blatantly disrespectful, and trying to provoke a fight? That's a ridiculous take.

Pant a flag while I'm on the field I'm kicking someone's ass.
Simple as that.
i get where you are coming from, but this is what Chappelle referred to as "when keeping it real goes wrong."

The flag planting is an act of disrespect. "kicking their ass" for it is a criminal act. People who don't know the difference go to jail every.single.day.

Michigan was invited to play a football game and started vandalizing the place. Keep your damn flag out of their field, you classless goons.

Honestly, the 100,000 fans at that game should be ashamed for not jumping in to protect their field. Don’t let the punks leave under their own will and the next smart asses who come visit will think again before disrespecting your state.
How do you always have such bad takes?

1st paragraph sure protect your house but nothing in your 2nd paragraph is a good idea, nothing.

Of course it happened at OSU vs UM, but at a couple of more schools. Police used pepper spray at Um game.
Is this new or has it been going on, and just now making the news?
Violence suddenly seems more acceptable??
Have you watched any NFL games lately, ie Houston vs Jaguars? 🤔

nope
Saw trevor Lawrence hit.
Guy needs a multi game suspension.
Didn't see any after game brawl like OSU/UM. Different from emotions while playing the game.
Feel sorry for lawrence. Stuck with a crummy team.

The guy got 3 games and he'll be watching his knees for the rest of his career, IMO.

And a brawl after the hit
Even his teammates said they thought the hit was dirty. Slo Mo shows launching and leading with the forearm to the chin.

Deliberately concuss any QB in the league and you can expect some very large men to have his back, so that's an acceptable response for me. Ugly, but acceptable.

I dunno that anyone will debate the hit. Just pointing out it caused a brawl. Just like running around with the flag

I get the hit causing a brawl. That's a career issue and intent to hurt someone.

The flag issue brawls were undisciplined weakness. You get your feels hurt and start a fight? Soft.

These teams had 60 minutes to keep that flag from being planted and didn't do it. Hate it for them but they had their chance.

If someone comes into Neyland and beats us, we should take the loss and let them celebrate the win. If you don't want it to happen, take care of business.
Didn’t one of our own players fall on a helmet after stepping on the logo in the locker room a few years back? I could see another fall if a flag tried to be planted on the power T.

To be fair, he has to be known as a gator for life, that is punishment enough.

Show that same fight in the game and maybe you won't have to deal with it, that's how I look at it

Plant a flag? Or any other instrument? Remove the HC for the next game.

Sometimes the only way to deal with idiots is slapping the sh** out of them.

Newsflash: you're soft.

Let's the guys jump around, hold your anger about it until you kick their butt then dance on their logo.

It's not that crucial. It's good solid college team rivalry that's not worth punches.
Or, better yet, maybe the winners show some actual class, act like they've been there before and not show their effing arse by disrespecting the other school and provoking a brawl.

How 'bout that?

It's soft to let people goad you into a reaction.

I'm reminded of the guy pushing the ball in Kobe Bryant's face and he neither flinches nor reacts just continued doing his job.

I'm reminded of Dennis Rodman acting the fool, staring at guys at the foul line, getting in their heads in any way and waiting on them to swing and get tossed.

Don't be soft. Someone will take advantage your softness.
