Violent racism alive and well in the South

It is one thing for Grizz to have to overcome stereotyping, say, in the workplace, whether its because he chooses to ignore it or because he confronts it and simply beats it.

^^^^ I beat it, I know racism is out there but I'm smarter than that. I don't use the "the man got me down so I can't
succeed" as a crutch. It's like picking a fight on the football field, you can be stupid and make cheap shots after the whistle and other dirty play or you can be smart and do your talking in between the whistle with out being stupid. I've had civilized conversations with white people that asked me about the African American community. Sometimes I see or hear stuff that is out right racist, I'll call out the situation to myself and move on. No need to dwell on it. Do those kids because they are dumb punk ass kids deserve hard time? YES!!!! but let the court handle it no need for me to march in the streets. That does not mean I careless, it means I rise above the stupidity.

You are middle aged and white, yet think you are the king of race dialogue and completely understand the plight of the black man. Were you recruited by Chappelle in the race draft, cracker? I mean, who the f*** do you think you are?

LG IS WHITE!!!!! Well don't that beat all!!!! Lol

You spent a lot of money to vindicate a grandparent who was black. Therefore, you are the grand poobah of racial issues.

Not buying it.

So let me get this straight LG ...

I'm racist and don't like minorities so I make up a story about my grandfather being black and how I loved him and how my white grandfather was never around and sucked and I then go marry an asian woman and have bi-racial kids all as a cover up to make people not think I'm racist?

really????

I mean seriously?

No, I'm not saying you made it up. As a family matter, what you did is laudable and righteous. .....

.........

...............

But irrelevant to the subject. You did it because he was family, not because he was black. Correct ?

Yes, because he was my grandfather.

I don't just go around moving black people from gravesites for the heck of it.

Do you?

You bastage. Next you'll be telling people you like to eat fried chicken and watermellon. Dastardly deceptive I say.

But here's the deal LG.

You see way too much race.

My main manager at my telebusiness is black. I didn't hire her or even consider that as part of the decision though. I hired her because she was the best for the job. If she had of been pokadot and the best I would have hired her.

We need to get to a place as a country where race means nothing more than artificial looks. It's no different than someone being blonde and someone being brunette.

You place race on everything. Why? How does it help anyone?

I don't eat dog though and that pisses off my wife.
Just kidding.

By the way, you can call me cracker.

No

But you didn't move him because you randomly picked a black person to help. You did it because he's family.

Like I said, that is deeply personal and a solid act within your family. But it doesn't change our political discussion on the subject if race relations and government.

I don't do things for people because they are of a certain color ... nor did christ.

But windsor elementary in columbus has new computers, athletic equipment, and brand new books in the library because of me. I normally don't ever go on here and talk about what I do because it doesn't matter. It's nobodies business. But you don't know me.

I don't like being taxed because I do more good with my money than left wing liberals can but you have never ever read a single post of mine stating how much I give to charity. 99% of the kids at windsor where black but I didn't help them because they were black. I helped them because they were kids in need of help. Red blood just like my kid. Red blood just like me. Just with a much much crappier shot at life.

people matter LG. NOT RACE.

LG, this world is not perfect. It sucks. But the dice has been rolled and racial relations are getting better ... not perfect .. but better. I still don't feel safe driving through parts of mississippi with my wife. That's the world we live in. But many many good people are out there trying to make it a world for everyone.

Also showing the underbelly of racial issues only promotes propoganda that sparks divide and distances the races.

There are many good people out there but they don't get media time becuase its not interesting.

Very true. The same could be said about any topic in regards to media coverage. Only the worst is reported on and the numerous good deeds don't get reported on. Like your help with the computers or reporting on a rogue police officer beating someone. The news would have you believe that negative news is the norm.

People will always be people, some can and will change, others will not no matter what. I believe in treating people, regardless of skin color, with respect that is due. We are all on this earth for a reason. I believe this, that you cannot love God whom you cannot see, if you can't love your brother whom you can see!

I've seen God plenty of times. He looks like my uncle Marshall.

I thought this story belonged here

Protest over Confederate Flag at an Atlanta Cemetery

Some mourners at the funeral of SCLC Leader Howard Creecy noticed an image at his burial site which has them concerned. They believe a Confederate flag flying above a monument on the property just does not belong.

The Westview Cemetery is where some of the city's elite are buried. Everyone from former Mayor William Hartsfield to founders of Coca-Cola to notable Civil Rights Leaders have been laid to rest there. It also is home to a Confederate memorial to the 400 soldiers buried there.

Wednesday, protesters upset over the flag gathered at the cemetery to call for the removal of the flag.

"Many persons were upset and asked me to come and do something," said Rev. Benford Stellmacher.

Among those concerned are African-Americans who have loved ones buried here and want the flag to be removed.
