I've known a couple of recruits over the years and while I agree, they do see everything much differently than we do, they do definitely still see problem areas (especially if it relates to them) and they hear chatter to a certain extent. A win definitely puts a really nice shine on anything they do see though, no question.

Then fans should shut the f up and stop chattering. Bc it ain’t the team chattering about QBs

Do you feel like tonight helped or hurt our chances with recruits? The passing game was not too sharp.
Recruits care more about environment than what happens on the field when they are at a game imo. Now obviously what happens affects that environment. They’re just taking everything in tho

I promise you that recruits are not seeing the game as most of you are seeing it. Some are watching their particular position groups. Some are enjoying the game as a whole. Others are taking in the atmosphere and are in awe. They are not really seeing "a problem" if the Vols are victorious. They see a field loaded with amazing athletes. You are forgetting that most of them work their a$$es off year round, for the chance to just be on the sidelines in one of those uniforms. They see 100,000+ cheering for them one day. Very few of us have ever been on that stage, yet we sit at home critiquing the hell out of these kids while they celebrate a hard fought victory. It wasn't that long ago when we celebrated making a fairly meaningless bowl. Now we complain that our victories aren't of a "championship level" and we don't have a top 3 recruiting class. Do you realize that there are over 100 other fan bases that wished they were us right now? That's what these recruits are seeing. How long has it been since we could make that claim?
Best post on this board in a awhile.

What many miss is that a win like this should be more encouraging than many “pretty” wins because it shows the guts and culture that Heupel has instilled in this program. This is the kind of game Butch Jones teams found a way to lose. Some Fulmer teams would have too. Dooley and Pruitt would’ve just been blown out.

I also think a lot of people don’t realize that was probably one of the 2 best defenses we will see all year this year

Added 2024 DB Jaren Sensabaugh (Vandy commit) and 2026 composite 5-star Bryce Perry-Wright.

“Tennessee has yet to offer Sensabaugh, but the Vols have shown interest in him lately, and he hasn't ruled out visiting again depending on where things go from here.

He's the son of former NFL DB Gerald Sensabaugh, a Kingsport, Tenn., native who played at East Tennessee State and North Carolina.”

Sensabaugh is out of Ensworth and is a HIGH academic kid with offers from Stanford Duke Northwestern and GT. Recently offered by WVU too.

Has bounced around the state, which is weird. Played junior season at Knoxville (Tenn.) Catholic and sophomore season at Kingsport (Tenn.) Dobyns-Bennett.

“Sensabaugh missed much of his junior season with a broken collarbone, resulting in that incomplete tape. This offseason, Sensabaugh worked with Legacy Football Academy as well as trainer Charles Petrone in Knoxville, Tenn., to get bigger, faster and stronger. Sensabaugh ran a 4.61-second 40-yard dash at NC State along with a 4.19-second shuttle.”

Sounds like his senior tape is getting out and he’s becoming a legit prospect. Methinks Vandy is going to have a hard time keeping him whether or not we make a move.

Bouncing around is somewhat tied to his dad. Let's just say dad has a way of aggravating some coaches with being "outspoken ".
