Visitor List: UGA game Nov. 18

I hate that we chose to make this our big recruiting weekend.
Wouldn’t be so bad if half our roster wasn’t decimated. Whoever let this game get moved to November a couple years ago, right when uga started getting really good 😡

Hopefully the atmosphere and effort is great and our recruits see both early playing time and championship potential.

Recruits care more about the experience than the result of the game
But are you sure they don't adhere to the EdEcEko philosophy of reacting to game results like an emotional 12 year old girl? It seems to be an increasingly popular philosophy. Maybe its a TikTok trend or something with these youngunz?!?!

Then why haven’t we landed more big time blue chips? When we put on a recruiting weekend it’s always amazing.
We've got majority blue-chip guys this class (4/5 stars) but when you recruit the best you go up against the best. Still behind Bama, UGA, Texas, etc in that regard. Guys with NFL potential obviously want to go to the NFL and big time players want to play in big time games. Tennessee is still new to the scene. These kids were being recruited by Jeremy Pruitt early on in their high school careers. Relationships start early

Basically we traded spots on their schedule with Auburn. We probably didn’t like having to play Florida and Georgia back to back

Yeah, I’m sure watching us get wrecked by uga will be a great experience and will reel the commits in.

My point is - Neyland when we win or are competitive is on another level. But we’re too injured and our QB is mediocre to be competitive against this Georgia team. It’s gonna get ugly. Atmosphere will suffer as a result.

James Pearce Jr, Addison Nichols, Tayven Jackson, Jordan Phillips, Cameron Miller, Kalib Perry, Nathan Robinson, John Slaughter, Boo Carter were at the 2021 game it looks like. Got blown out there

More randoms on that list than anything.

You’re really reaching with this post but that’s cool.

I said what I said. We should’ve picked a different game for our big recruiting weekend.

5 blue chip players are random? 5/9 of them were 4 or 5 star. So it’s actually more blue chips on that list

Sorry. Didn’t have my orange glasses on.

You guys are right. So excited these kids get to see us get wrecked and neyland likely half empty by the end of the third quarter.

GO VOLS!!!!!

Wish all this talent picked another game to come to.
staff planned on this game being for Atlanta, or at least a repeat of the 2022 Bama vibes. Well. We see how that worked out....

but maybe...

just maybe...

we have that moment, or moments that bring Neyland to life and turn the tables

As evidenced by 2007 we have derailed UGA before.

As evidenced by 2013, Neyland can wake up and catch fire even when we are down

And 2015 showed us that we are never truly out of it at home

Praying for Joe to be the guy that everyone has thought he could be. Just one time. Just let it click somehow. Let it all come together in some miraculous way and validate what multiple coaches thought was possible.

Hey the good news is the staff can use all those plays they were saving for Atlanta, right?

Sorry, we didn't mean to crash your self-pity party. Carry on. Maybe you should just skip this and the rest of the season's games.

Why? If you’re a good player, these are the games you want to be in. Winners don’t shy away from competition, they meet it at the door!
Exactly. When the recruits come this weekend, they see the facilities, the fan support, the environment with fans/coaches/players. Then they see Tennessee most likey somewhat compete against the defending back to back national champions. As a top recruit, you see a place you can ultimately win at but need more stars. Coaches sell the recruits on being that needed next wave of stars. Recruits are looking for reasons to go to places usually, it's not much about the score

I just hope it's a competitive game with a great crowd/experience. My fear is that this team will roll over and be embarrassed. I've heard it said that who wins or loses a game doesn't really matter during the visit. Probably true if it's a competitive game, but if we show like we did vs Mizzou and UF, I just don't see how that would be anything other than a disaster for recruiting. At home, on CBS in the 3:30 slot and against the #1 team in the country. Surely we won't play like road kill again...will we?
