Not to answer for Jenn, but YES, I wish Tere$a would hand the company over to Jr., or someone else for now since he's still driving. Someone that can run a race team. That's what gets Teresa all of her money, other than Dale, the actual race teams. If they don't have an adequate leader, they're not going to perform like teams led by Jack Roush and Rick Hendrick, say what you want about either.

I'll tell ya who TEI misses, Ty Norris. That was a sharp guy, he had some business savvy and could run a race team as well. That void still hasn't been filled in my opinion.
I'll tell you who Dale Jr misses more than anybody is Tony Eury Sr. that team hasn't been the same since he quit calling the shots. Everybody complained about Tony Sr the whole time he was Dale's crew chief, but you look at where they were then vs where they are now. Dale hasn't even been in position to win a race since Tony Sr left. Yes he lucked into that gas mileage win @ Chicago last year, but he was never in contention till everybody else had to pit for gas.

Dale also needs teammates who are winners. The reason Hendrick and Roush are successful is because all of their teams are capable of winning races and contending for championships (as much as it pains me to say that). And they share information between the teams. Maybe Truex is that guy. I hope so for him AND for Dale. Michael is a good guy, and he runs well on plate tracks, but he has never been and never will be a top tier driver, and that hurt the whole team. Park could have been I think if he hadn't hit his head a few too many times.

Like it or not, Teresa is the boss of the team. Does that mean that I like or agree with every descision she makes. Hell no I don't. But I'm not gonna resort to calling my hero's wife a bitch or a money grubbing whore because I don't agree with her.

If it makes a difference, I've always thought of her like that, not just post 2-18-01.

Whooohoo yes Allen went to the dolphins i was so freaking pumped when they said that from my vols to my dolphins freak ya :biggrin2:

One thing's for sure Tidwell, you seem to be in the majority on that one. I just can't bring myself to hate her.

MyBloodRunnethOrange, I didn't mean to get you all riled up. I do not hate Teresa, I just don't like some of the decisions that she had made since Dale Sr. died. She doesn't let Dale Jr. have much of a say-so and he should be able to make some of the decisions regarding the company. I just do not like her attitude towards Dale Jr. You would think that she was the one born an Earnhardt, not him.

Jenn, I'm not upset I promise. You and Tidwell are two of my favorite posters on here. And I do agree with what you are saying. I don't agree with alot of the decisions that she makes. I guess my point is that whether I agree with her or not, I do think that she is doing what she thinks is best for DEI, and that she wants to field a championship team. I'm really not sure what the deal is between her and Dale Jr, but I do wish that he had more say in the leadership of the company. Then again, maybe I'm wrong. Driver/owners don't tend to fair to well in the modern era of Nascar, but I'd still like to see him take a more active roll.

I have no doubt in my mind that Teresa loved Dale Sr. I'm sure that she still loves him and misses him. She also has dollar signs in her eyes. Her and Dale Jr. do not agree on a lot of things. No wonder they don't get along too well. DEI should be DEI and not TEI.
I agree Jenn, without Dale Sr. there would be no Teresa.I always feel sorry for Kerry. He seems to have gotten the worse of it than all others combined.

What happened to 24 today. When I last saw him, he had the lead.Who cheated and knocked him back in the pack? :biggrin2:

I feel sorry for Kerry too. He quit racing to put his family first and should be given a chance by DEI (TEI) to race again.

That's just it, he quit racing. I don't blame him at all for putting racing on hold to have and be with his family, but racing is something that takes full-time dedication if you want to make it in the top levels, you can't just stop and start back and and realistically expect to be a top driver, in my opinion.

Again, there's nothing wrong with how he chose to live his life, that's his decision and I respect it.

On a side note, does he NOT look just like Sr.?

I see your point of view, but I still think that DEI should be doing more for him. I think Dale Sr.'s kids should have more of a say-so than Teresa.

Kerry looks so much like Dale Sr. When he was in Bristol a few years ago at Family Race Night, I met him and got his autograph. It was almost like looking at his dad. I met Dale Sr. the year before he died, so it was one of those happy/sad moments for me.

Watch out for the Biffleator for the rest of the year. And Bobby Labonte is driving for my Petty clan, so watch out there, too.

Hey CBC, what are your thoughts with the Nascar season so far? Think Tony is gonna take it again?:dunno:

Well kind of surprising so far. The pre-season favorite of a bunch of people, Carl Edwards, has struggled badly in his sophomore season. Biffle is finally on the way up but has had bad luck.

Dale Jr. looks like he has got it together. For now anyway. Tony has been regular Tony. He seems to be stirring up trouble again like in the past.

Jeffy poo is half way back. I dont think he will ever be where he once was. Hendrick has passed the torch to the 48 team.

Kasey Kahne is a superstar. Just needs to be more consistent. Casey Mears is doing damn good.

It is real good to see the two RCR cars in the top 10.

Yates team of Jarrett and Sadler is in a bad funk. Plus Jarrett is gone after this season.

Nascar is penalizing like crazy this year. I guess they mean business. (yeah right).

Ummmm.....rookies. Denny Hamlin is a star. He has good equipment though. I think Clint Bowyer will have the best career out of these rookies. He is a damn good race car driver.

It is way to early to tell what is gonna happen though. I think Biffle will easily make the top 10, and Edwards has a fair chance. To many races left to count those cars out.

I think the top 10 will look like this.....

1. Jimmie Johnson.
2. Tony Stewart
3. Matt Kenseth
4. Greg Biffle
5. Dale Jr.
6. Jeff Gordon
7. Kasey Kahne.
8. Kevin Harvick
9. Mark Martin
10.Carl Edwards.....by the hair on his chinny chin chin.

what is your take??????

I hate to say it but you might be right about the 24 car.Harvick and Dale Jr. seem to be on the verge of having great seasons.I still think Tony is the man to beat. One quick question, what is the status of Mark Martins son,is he driving anywhere now.Is he still too young for any big racing. What do you think about Jarrett and Toyota?
