VN Top 50 Songs

I just got back from Cleveland. The Rock 'n Roll Hall Of Fame's two feature exhibits right now are on The Clash and The Doors. I was in heaven.

Very cool. How often do they switch the features? Cleveland is the only major Ohio city that I haven't been to since living in KY.

Who was better the Clash or the Ramones?
I think The Clash are among the 15-20 most important bands in rock 'n roll history. I think the Ramones are no talent hacks. I believe my answer is clear. A better question would have involved The Clash and The Sex Pistols.

I have similar feelings about the Ramones. I've always felt their popularity was boosted immensely by their image.

Their music seems best suited for commercials, or for background music in a movie. I couldn't see myself ever putting on headphones and listening to that stuff. I might be alone on that one.

Youngblood from the Concert for Bangladesh and Delta lady are a couple of other Leon songs I love.

Speaking of the Doors, somewhere on Nooltube is a composite of rapture by Blondie and Riders on the Storm...amazes me how well the songs mesh
