You guys who live in Florida, you ever have any issues with snakes or gators messing with your animals??? I thought about moving down there but I have a few dogs and wouldn't want to put them in harms way plus seeing one get swallowed by a huge reptile would suck

You'll be fine. Come join the party.

No. Occasionally hear about rattlesnakes and dogs mixing it up and dogs needing to go to the vet for antivenum. But that could happen in any place where rattlesnakes live.

Just bought a house in Port Charlotte. Will have to catch up with U W coast Vols after I get settled in.

Born in Sparta, TN. Parents worked for hospitals, so one or the other was transferred frequently. Lived in Port Charlotte for 20 years, grandmother still lives there. Moved to West Palm Beach 18 months ago.

I live 6 mins from the loxahachee canal and right on the edge of the Everglades..never had a problem with snakes or gators..just raccoons and possums in my trash cans..o yea and iguanas on my pool deck. But again , you see gators in ponds and lakes but rarely ever hear of any attacks.

Hey, thank you for starting this.
I am in Tampa.
Just filled my tub with water, tossed the patio furniture into the pool, loaded up on food, dog food, batteries, drinking water, etc.

I hope that all of you and your families stay safe.

Let's try to keep each other updated about conditions in our locations.
