thank u!!.. thats what im trying to say... Reggie Bush had amazing attributes that cant be coached, Sam Mcduffie has attributes that cant be taught, Reggie Bush had a great college career so y should i think any different of Mcduffie?
Mainly because guys that look phenomenal frequently can't perform at near the same level in college. Reggie Bush had 6,551 all purpose yards. That's tenth in NCAA history and he only played three seasons. Suggesting that this guy is in the same league as Reggie is like saying Jimmy Clausen is the next Peyton Manning. Anything is possible, of course, but at this point making that kind of comparison is getting way, way ahead of one's self.
Reggie Bush - Football Recruiting.. not much difference between them huh?
saying Jimmy Clausen is Peyton Manning is different from saying I believe (which i dont) Jimmy WILL be a special player like Manning, which is along the lines of what i said with Mcduffie and Bush... i didnt say Mcduffie is just like Reggie Bush, i didnt even say Mcduffie will be the next Bush, i just said i think he will be a special player on the collegiate level like Reggie Bush was as far as the excitement
That depends on your definition of "special". Saying Reggie Bush and Peyton Manning were special is somewhat of an understatement. Those are players that will be remembered after anyone that ever saw them play is dead. Sam McGuffie might be special like Gerald Riggs was special. Reggie Bush won the Heisman in the largest landslide ever. I can say with little doubt that McGuffie will not come close to reaching that status.
Sam Mcduffie is gonna be Reggie Bush special
Reversing field doesn't expose you to a potentially career ending injury. Picture what might happen to you if you leapt over five feet in the air, only to have Jerod Mayo catch your ankles and slam you to the turf. I'd imagine McGuffie would be out with a concussion, at the least.
Are you saying that at this point you feel that McGuffie stands an excellent chance of winning the Heisman in a huge landslide, being the #2 overall NFL draft selection, and placing in the top 10 in several all-time collegiate statistics?
Also, just looking at recruiting rankings: Reggie Bush was the #2 overall prospect coming out of high school, behind only fellow top 10 NFL draft pick Ernie Sims. Sam McGuffie isn't in Rivals top 100.
ok forget about statistics ok, just throw every number that you have collected on bush out the window, awards and everything... as a matter of fact i want u to put all of those stats in a treasure box with a time bomb in it, drive ur car to the nearest mountain and drop it with about 4 seconds left on the bomber...... ok and after u do that, look at mcguffie and tell me that he is not an exciting player as reggie bush was when he came out of high school, and also look a little closer to the way he runs and sets his blocks up and sees things before they happen and accelerates in the open field, and then tell me that he doesnt have great instincts and spped, and then look at the way he jumped over the defender and the way that he doesnt shy away from a defender, and tell me he doesnt have courage... now that u dont have the stats and we see that mcguffie makes amazingly exciting plays constantly, has great instincts and speed, and has even better courage, tell me how he is any different from reggie bush coming out of high school?
Most highly rated RB's go D1. Most D1 RB's had great high school careers. If they didn't do special things or do great things or have great things in high school, why would colleges want to bring them in?
mcguffie impresses me the most, with an exception of bush, cause most of those guys are just fast, and thats great, but just look at how mcguffie makes something out of nothing by using his speed AND instincts
No, because Devine has a habit of being in the wrong place off the field, and his grades have sucked.
Other than that, I would take Devine anyday over McGuffie.
