I personally don't care if its nike, or adidas, as long as they stay with tradition, and I agree, orange for bowlgame

I used the words tradition, and orange in the same sentence, and previously mentioned we should NOT wear black for a bowl, should be our traditional colors..........ORANGE N WHITE

School Colors

The colors Orange and White were selected by Charles Moore, a 150-pound right guard on Tennessee's inaugural first football team in 1891, and were later approved by a vote of the student body. The colors were those of the common American daisy which grew in great numbers on The Hill. Tennessee players did not appear in the now-famous Orange & White jerseys until the season-opening game in 1922. Coach M.B. Banks' Vols won that game over Emory and Henry by a score of 50-0.

These were less than 100 years ago.

That's nice, I might have to change my avatar. And, you could send me a full size of this in the same frame for Christmas so I can hang it above the fireplace--thanks!

Ok, you don't have to send it, but it is nice!

so your sticking by your argument that orange/white are not our traditional colors?

I have never said that. Please show me where I posted, "Orange & white are not UT's traditional colors". Remember, somewhere I said it. I was asking a question. That is all. I'll wait.

I guess?

It's the schools academic colors I suppose(if there is even, a such thing). But as far as I'm concerned, if it's listed by the UT system as an official school color, it should be fair game for the athletics as well.

been linked dozens of times in this very thread and means nothing to this discussion

First time I've looked at it and I was surprized to see Black, Orange and two shades of blue (neither of which look like the Lady Vols Blue). Where is the white box? The world just changed a little bit. . .

That's the school colors systemwide. UT-Chattanooga blue replaces orange or black for UTC, and UT-Martin blue replaces black for UTM.
