I might be the only one on here, but I liked the nike pro combats. And I've worn a nike pro jersey. Loved it.

I do as well. Love the Nike Combats. Very modern. If anyone watches the NFL you may as well get used to seeing those. What matters is the players to be honest. The Vol players loved the black unis and the Combat Jerseys.

I'm with ya..and so is everybody under 40 probably..including the athletes who wear them..remember all the tweets during/after the boise/v tech game last year from all the players/ recruits? They all LOVED them..I know adidas hooks us up with $, but don't kid urself, 18 yr old kids would rather play in Nike, and get free Nike apparel..I'm sure its helped oregon a lot...whether our backwoods, middle aged fans like it or not.

I would rather pay 30 for one that looks good over one that's 20 that doesn't. I have several UT Nike shirts and were the same price as Adidas. Now UA is a different story.

That's why I like Nike's apparel. Imo, it looks good but costs the same as Adidas.

Lol..exactly its the oldies and the ones scared to death of change who don't like them. Change is part of life.

Even if we do switch to nike it doesn't mean we have to make drastic changes to the uniforms. Just feels and looks better.

Yeah...no. You don't have to be a backwoods middle aged man to think the Pro Combat uniforms, for the most part, look dumb as sh*t.

I like certain pro combat unis. Besides, Nike wouldn't force us to wear them. It's likely the only thing different would be the brand badge on the jersey.

That's true but Its the majority who do and the rest are greybeards who sit around and drink old Milwaukee and eat werthers and zagnut.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the university probably has the option to tell nike no to the pro combats.

Those God awful Va. Tech helmets? Fake gator skin sleeves? Jerseys that look bedazzled? Give me break. They're hideous. I guess there's no accounting for taste. And by the way Clinton, I'm under 40, and live in two pretty big cities.

When we last had it, where they doing crazy things with the uniforms at the time?

No they weren't but UT wouldn't allow anything drastic to happen either. Until all the oldies die off this discussion will continue. As I said its what the players like should matter they have to wear them not us.

Get that common sense out of here! Everyone knows that Nike schools are slaves to the man and if the man says wear hot pink jerseys with assless, neon green pants, then by gawd you wear it!

Why wouldn't UT? Alabama let them mess with their uniforms.
