I didn't say I liked them either..but u can't argue the fact that the guys we go after like them a whole lot more than the boring stuff adidas gives us...too bad we aren't recruiting guys like u, I guess..

Exactly...look at bama, psu, osu...nike keeps their stuff simple, and don't take away from the traditional look. The gear they give the players are still awesome though..remember the gloves bama had for the NCG, that had the A's on the palms? That's pretty sweet

I've said it before in similar threads; I don't think you want kids who make life decisions based on clothing logos anywhere near your school or your football program. What good is a million-dollar arm with a $.50 head?

I like Dooley's current approach in recruiting in that he recognizes that its the school picking the right kids a little more than the right kids picking your school.

If you go chasing kids around by changing to the swoosh, I think you find yourself riding shotgun with Jim Tressel sooner rather than later.

a.d.i.d.a.s. ....all day I dream about soccer..I really just want to get back to winning championship games. I could not care less if our jerseys have that small little tag supporting some company. GBO!

What do all you Nike homers think they could with orange and white that Addidas hasn't already done? Nike has better fan gear, but you can already get UT stuff in Nike so what's the point? I would say Addidas new jerseys look just as good if not better than those gaudy Nike Combat unis. A lot of those just look tacky and cartoonish.

Why do combat unis keep coming up? Anyways, have u ever seen a bama or psu uni that was tacky or cartoonish? I think the school has some say so in what's done to the unis...and by ur screen name, I'm assuming ur a soccer fan, so that explains ur love for adidas

My point exactly. Why change brands when it looks and feels the exact same? Addidas new gear is actually lighter than Nike's. And soccer has nothing to do with me preferring Addidas, it just comes down to how dumb it would be to get rid of somethign just because the other guy's logo looks cool.

Its because recruits like it better..a lot better...but its not going to happen anytime soon, so this convo and thread really don't matter.

That's so funny. I could swear that Nike had a soccer division (that probably creates more revenue than football)

USA, Brazil, S. Korea, France, Croatia, Holland, Nigeria, Mexico, Japan, Australia, Portugal, Serbia, New Zealand, & Slovenia all wore Nike kit in the last World Cup.
