Didnt say that but why not have all 3 genius..Why just comment on my post I wasnt the only one talking about swag little lady.

You can't have all three.

Look, Jason, the bottom line is, Nike offered far less in money, product and control in their last contract offer. We would have been absolutely NUTS to sign the contract they offered when compared with the contract that adidas offered.

You can argue about how the fan gear looks all you want, but what is really important is how the contract impacts the school. And adidas has consistently held Tennessee in a higher regard than the other companies that have submitted bids. That regard has been reflected in the contract offers that those companies have made us since we first solicited for all-sport contracts in 1996 to begin with the 1997-98 athletic year.

Im not struggling with it you said it wasnt possible and im saying it is. Why are you having such issues with this kitty cat?

It might be possible in some point in time, but it isn't from Nike's position as of now, or at least during the last negotiations with them.

And it wasn't their position when they made contract proposals in 1996, 2001, 2006, or 2009.

Thats what he said. Its sad to not not come to a school because of the gear but unfortunately it happens. Adidas is the worst of the big 3 and just isnt as marketable.

Ua made south carolinas jerseys look awesome, nuff said....

Sn, who cares if they didn't have shoes in the past?

in shoes? You're either not serious or you wear sandals all day

Adidas dwarfs UA

LOL Are you really serious? I actually prefer New Balance but between the 2 the no competion. UA has better shoes, cleats and sandals. Just my opinion. I see alot more peoiple with UA than Adidas shoes. But again I prefer New Balance so i could careless about that. i dont have to wear either.

Look man I wasnt making this arguement based on money. Yes we do get a good deal as far as money from Adidas Im not debating that. Im just saying Nike has the better product and the players would prefer Nike over Adidas. We are making so much money on TV contracts and donations it isnt even funny. I just prefer Nike product over Adidas and most do.

Or because he is happy the university does what is best for them.

I still don't get how you can argue that being a second tier school with no control over uniforms, less money, and in some cases no shoes, is better than what adidas supplies to UT.

Uhm OK..Nothing you said came out of my mouth. Im tired of repeating this over and over. I prefer Nikes gear or Adidas and thats all im saying. I never said we should take a lesser deal. I would like it if we could get Nike with control over everything. Your just reading what you want to see. Again im saying myself and the majority of players prefer Nike and thats it..

You guys are right. Look at how much more swag the Alabama polo has.

Really? So you can prove that these so called players prefer Nike?

So we should'nt except being second tier when it comes to jerseys, but when it comes to hiring coaches it's ok? ....it appears you work for the university with that train of thought...

Last one didnt work. So, here it is again. Sooooo much more swag. By the way, the word swag is just as overused as beast was.

People don't seem to understand that Nike Pro Combat doesn't mean radical uniform changes. That's just how the technology is introduced. If the technology was incorporated into the exact look of the usual uniforms then no one would know the difference. It's marketing 101. As it stands, Florida uses the Nike Pro Combat technology in it's uniforms, those one-game makeovers were just calling everyone's attention to Nike's new tech.

You are right. Coaches should have been lined up to jump on board with only 1 week left in recruiting. What kind of idiots would turn down a historically weak UT basketball job that has violations and punishment pending? We should have landed Bill Self.

I can tell you live close to Alabama. Imagine that, the two arguing and not making sense either live in Bama, or right at it.

Adidas has the same technology, only it is supposed to be lighter. People are mad because UT won't change its uniforms to look like something that came out of the XFL.
