Either that or Dolley wil be celebrating the 2014 National Title with a black out game !!!

I think the black uniforms look awesome. I even like the photoshop black helmets with the orange T. The kids do like playing in them.

Everybody has different tastes and all, but perhaps we can still maintain the same uniforms (to satisfy the the staunch traditionalists) most of the season, but have at least one or two "change of pace" uniforms for the BIG games, such as FL, Bama and UGA.

This is still just a rough turntable, but the design is about 80-90% there. I have a lot of tweaking to do on the model and the textures, and will then move to setting up an animation rig & run cycle for the final pitch.

I hate to break it to you, but Adidas doesn't accept outside design proposals for uniforms, not even for t-shirts.

A lack of ideas/designs is not why UT has the uniforms we have. Adidas has pitched dozens of alternate and one-time designs to Tennessee over the years and we have repeatedly declined them.

Dooley didn't even want the team to wear the checkerboard undershirts and "T" gloves. He's very much traditional when it comes to uniforms.

A lot of businesses have "No Solicitations" signs posted on their doors, but that doesn't mean that TV/Radio ad folks can't come in and ask them about advertising and such.

I'm aware that companies like Nike and Adidas are generally not in the practice of entertaining outside solicitations/submissions. But perhaps an exception could be made if the content was rather professional and if they happen to like the concept. If nothing else, I'm hoping it might be a foot in the door for some future contract work. Even some of the largest companies and agencies outsource a portion of their work.

Hopefully they go back to black socks and shoes.

The one's introduced for the '11 season are atrocious and IMO, bad luck.

What's everyone's obsession with adding black to the football uniforms? Gross. In fact, I'd like the bball uniforms better if they kept em orange and white only....

They do not accept outside submissions. They have never before made an exception. One example: Adidas was initially supposed to be a sponsor of the "It's Time" shirts in 2009 and an initial batch was made with the Adidas logo. Those had to be pulled from stores and replaced with non-logoed shirts because Adidas' design team had not done the design.

Again, a lack of ideas is not what has kept our uniforms traditional, it's UT's desire to not wear anything different. You and Adidas could come up with 1,000 different combos, but UT isn't going to wear them because that's not what they want to put on the field.

Thank you for trying to urinate all over my shoes here. Don't need any extra, here. I'm aware that CDD has opted not to make any changes. Doubt a brand new coach would.
Again; I am also aware that Adidas has their own design staff. Nevertheless, I'm not some schmo that scribbles an idea on scratch paper and tries to submit it. I do this kind of work, and a well presented concept may very well receive some measure of consideration, if the AD/staff and Adidas finds some merit in it. I'll see for myself, thank you.

Those cleats were great..I like them much better than the plain dull black ones, black is not one of our school colors, I was cool with the black jerseys because it was halloween and they fit...Not every week though, and the black cleats were every week.

I agree. The black uniforms were awesome. Like the black helmet too. I wish they wore black pants with orange stripe or at least orange pants black stripe. I hope the players push enough for it that we might pick them up as a alternate. It be cool if we only wore them on Halloween weekend or home night games. It makes it better if they don't wear them all of the time just a game here and there.

I think Dools said the players need to play football 1st. I am not sure that is a NO. I think it should be taken as if they earn them we will foot the bill.
Let them vote as a team on new jocks & socks designs.
Then make them work like heck to earn them.;)
Say after 6 wins the next game is player choice for uniform.
Its obvious from player tweets they are interested in new gear, it just needs to be used as a team building, and motivational tool.

do you know were I could buy a checkerboard under shirt?I've looked around and can't find.My son and I want one really bad to wear with our jerseys.

I love the black stuff.I am happy with orange and white.Just wish they would come up with different looks in the orange and white.I like the white jerseys with the orange collar.I enjoyed the jerseys that had the orange on the top of the pads while ainge was there.

I just don't want you to pour time into something that's going to be discarded. UT gets hundreds of logo and uniform submissions from fans every year, and most of them are not even looked at. Many of them are very professional looking, but we have a contract with a company that does their own design work.

If you want to waste your time, go ahead, but I'm telling you that I know the people that will open the envelope, and that's as far as the designs will get.

Yes, the players loved them. They'll be a new design in the latest models, but they will be white again.

They were not sold to the public, were for team use only. You may see next year's design sold.
