Deerpark, what are you hearing, if you are allowed to talk about it, about the status of our contract with Addidas not being as tight as we once thought?
I think people are misreading the VQ post that was primarily about Sodexho. Hamilton made a terrible deal with them that was iron-clad on things like percentages, charges for promotions that included food with ticket purchases, etc. They did nothing that wasn't in the contract and were incredibly difficult to deal with.
Sodexho has already informed many school and church groups that staff their stands that Sodexho has not been retained as the concessions provider, so I'm not really sure why Hart told Hubbs that the contract isn't up. Sodexho certainly thinks its up and that they got outbid. Their local manager has already been transferred out.
There are three years left on our Adidas contract. It's not as "tight" meaning that Adidas can and does go above and beyond what is required by the contract. They provide extra equipment, uniforms, etc that are beyond the scope of what is in the contract.

Thank you for clarifying. Sometimes Hubba likes to leave things open ended.
NIKE will throw big money at UT when the contract comes up for renewal.
Doubt it. Their definition of "big money" for college programs is less than Adidas' definition.
