My aunt and uncle were visiting. Their flight got canceled so they’ve got people with them.

My goodness it looks like a monster storm. Whispering a prayer for you guys that are riding it out. The damage is going to be unreal I'm afraid but stuff can be rebuilt and replaced. Hoping you guys stay safe.

storm serge would be 16 feet in Fort Myers.

I’ve seen someday they’ve had winds at 158 (which would make it CAT 5 (155))

Every member on my team at work was sent to Tampa this week for a conference except me. Looks like they aren’t in the worst spot, but them and several other co-workers from different teams in my company are there.

Thank you for your concern. It’s moved way south from us and is expected to make landfall around Fort Myers. It will be a major concern in that area, it’s expected to be a catastrophic nightmare. Praying for everyone in that area.

I didn't mean to trivialize by post above. We are still gonna get a lot of rain and wind but the surge that was avoided here was a blessing.it still gonna be scary. Prayers for family safety.

I can’t imagine 158. Back when Irma hit in 2017 I think we had sustained winds that were around 100, it sounded like a non stop freight train.
