Looks like it's been upgraded to a category 4 since I checked last. Yikes. I have family in St. Pete.
And it could get to a Cat 5 before it hits.....so scary, I hope that your family stays safe through this. The weather channel just mentioned that the
storm serge would be 16 feet in Fort Myers.

Where are you, parents, and daughter staying?

Apprehensive would describe my mood though it could go south depending on the the severity of the storm.
Sobering thought…I hope I don’t die without ever having the pleasure of experiencing your moms cooking 😞
That would be a crime
Stay safe, this morning they are saying that it could be a Cat 5 before it hits.

Every member on my team at work was sent to Tampa this week for a conference except me. Looks like they aren’t in the worst spot, but them and several other co-workers from different teams in my company are there.

St. Pete is out of the Hurricane cone.
The best live news for St. Pete is Baynews 9 run by Spectrum. It’s straight talk about the weather, they don’t sensationalize like other channels do.
Normally they charge to stream but it’s free now during Hurricane Ian.
Set the App to Florida then Tampa not Orlando.

Are you and your parents going to evacuate or stay there, they are saying that it could be a Cat 5 before it hits, you all stay safe.
Thank you for your concern. It’s moved way south from us and is expected to make landfall around Fort Myers. It will be a major concern in that area, it’s expected to be a catastrophic nightmare. Praying for everyone in that area.

I didn't mean to trivialize by post above. We are still gonna get a lot of rain and wind but the surge that was avoided here was a blessing.it still gonna be scary. Prayers for family safety.
