TRUE. I have comcast cable internet, and it goes off at night, and we've had it looked at 3 times and they haven't done jack about it.

They have been to my house 21 times and that's not an exaggeration. They still can't figure out why the cable goes out when it rains and that's just the newest problem.

You see, I have On Demand, but if it's rained within 4 days of me wanting to watch something on it, it doesn't work.

someone needs to make their customer satisfaction problems public so they can crash their stock and demand better service :)

Yep. The sad part is, Direct TV or Dish won't work here because of the trees, so I'm stuck.

Comcast also ran a 50 yard cable down the backyard, said they "contractors" would be back to bury it in a week or two and just left it there for 3 months. That was 3 months of mowing around that freaking thing.

The list goes on and on.

Go w/ satelite. I don't have any problems except during really, really bad storms. Cheaper too.

Yes, get a DVR or use torrents man! Watching shows on your own time is quite a life changing experience.

Freak: It seems you already have your platform for this figured out, but did you look at TalkShoe voice talk shows and discussion groups - Talkcasts ?

It integrates all aspects of what you are trying to do. You have to download their client in order to participate in chat and calling, but you can listen without the client.

Edit: Oh, and I forgot to mention...Great Idea!:dance2:

A. I don't want to give Comcast more money when they can't even get the stuff I have to work.

B. Even if I did get DVR, there's no guarantee it would work (nothing else does)

C. I don't want to watch stuff on my computer. I'm the kind of guy that opts for the big screen and surround sound of my entertainment system.

Thanks for the link that looks very nice. It looks somewhat similar to what we are using. If we have issues with our setup I'll definitely look at that.

I actually have a current UT player and a recruit that may talk but I'm sure NCAA and UT rules/regulations would prevent such a thing.

1 of 3 games. Mechassault, 007 AUF, or Splinter Cell.

I've had mine softmodded for quite some time. Also put an 80 GB HD I had laying around in it... far better than getting busted for modchiping... they raided a bunch of ppl last week.
