I'm probably, like alot of people, giving LSU too much credit. I think they'll be good, but they lose JaMarcus Russell, Laron Landry, Dwayne Bowe, Jimbo Fisher etc...

But they got Gary Crowton, and they have Matt Flynn as QB who has shown that he looks pretty good.

  • Georgia Tech
  • at Penn State
  • at Michigan
  • Michigan State
  • at Purdue
  • at UCLA
  • Boston College
  • USC
  • NAVY
  • Air Force
  • Duke
  • at Stanford

They have a chance of losing to Penn State, Michigan, UCLA, Boston College, USC, and Navy.

Possibly even Michigan State and GaTech.

I'm not saying they will lose all of them, but those are no gimmies for them next season.

Good one.

I think Florida will be good, but losing most of their starting D and a tough SEC schedule I don't see it happening, but they do have Urban Meyer.

i do, they lost multiple starters on defense.

Most teams lost key players at some position or another. Florida appears to be plenty deep.

I'm not saying they'll get there at the end, though I have hope, certainly. I'm saying its hard to justify pushing them below #1 until they lose or until someone else clearly shows they deserve it.

Remember, most folks are ranking USC #1, a team that lost to a mediocre UCLA team and otherwise really wasn't all that impressive.

What's so crazy about ranking the team that was the best the last time you saw them #1? Whether it's true or not, it's just as valid as parroting what some hack sportswriter says.

i see what you're saying. i always felt that the national champs should start out #1 and stay there until beaten
