Don't get lost in the rankings. This year's class is rock solid for our needs and next year's class is already looking special with in-state talent. We're good.

All around a great class except the DT spot which is lacking. Really needed a HS DT. Overall I am happy though :)

Awesome - when the Bone likes it it's guaranteed to be a GREAT class. :clapping:

I think we will look back on this class in 2 or 3 years and be amazed at how many guys we stole because they were underrated by the so-called experts. We signed three 6'-6" tackles who are incredibly athletic. All they need to become starters is some strength and weight and Strip's coaching. Our DB signees are all top notch. Our QB fits this offense perfectly. Our WR's are all fast playmakers. Our TE's are depth for now but will end up playing a lot in year two. Kongbo will be an NFL player. Great job by Butch and his team.

Next year will be a bigger class and we will be back in the top 10. I don't really care about this year's ratings. I am pretty sure Butch doesn't care about the ratings either.

Question: How are the recruiting ranks established? Is this a total summary of players and star/rating, such that higher number of recruits is the way to the top. Or do they rank the classes by average star/rating, such that higher quality is the way to the top.

From my limited knowledge, it look likes a number of recruits game, which seems less meaningful. Opinion - I would rather have higher quality of players that stay and develop, than huge numbers and hope for development.

With ya Amster. Rock solid is a perfect description.

12th on average star ranking. More telling as to how good of a class this is when stacked up against other schools.

UGA jumps all the way to #3 but UF drops to #19 in average star rankings.
Also Saban again managed to finish #1 no matter which rankings you pick. Unbelievable.

Would have been nice to land Brown. But, the stud DT that we got still has 3 years to play. The stud DE has 3 to play as well. Not bad.

Yeah I believe it's much more important to see how we met our needs, our average player ranking, and how many game-changing players we (potentially) pulled.
