NCAA College Football Rankings: AP Top 25 Football Poll

Six of the top seven are SEC teams, and nine of the top ten are SEC or B10 (6 SEC, 3 B10).

We moved up further (7 spots) than anyone else in the Top 25. Notre Dame moved down further than everyone else, -13 spots to #18. Heh.

[note the AP folks didn't update the "This Week" column yet when I found the new rankings; they'll get around to it]

Hats off to the AP voters for moving us up like they did USC/Miami. Moving us back past them is consistent and that's all I asked for. After the last few years where even us beating a team head to head and having the same record (Alabama) saw us still ranked behind them.

At this point, I am not that concerned. I am more glad Alabama and OU kept their lofty rankings because beating them will help us jump higher.

That’s what top 25 prime time matchup gets you w no other really good games going! Plus Vols looking the part!

I am pretty confident now on them (especially OU). I wish we could play OU this weekend instead of 2 weeks from now because OU fans are really down and out on the team.

I really think Alabama will improve but their weaker O-line could be an issue with our D-line. I think Tennessee's D-line (+ Lbs and Secondary) will be more of an impactful advantage in these matchups now than Nico and the offense.
