I understand but Peyton wouldn't have lost if Denver's d could have stopped them in the 4th, I thought those were UT DBS back there. Also Peyton should never ever ever ever ever scramble and that pick is why Go vols

Peyton also wouldn't have lost if he didn't turn it over 3 times for 17 points.

If only Trindon Holiday had matched the offense's output of 21 points by taking a third punt/kick return to the house...

If the broncos offense hadn't went Fulmer conservative in the second half, then it would have been a different game.

Let's be honest, Peyton flat gave out the second half and showed his age against a tired Baltimore defense. FOX was outcoached from the get go. Go Falcons!!!

I'm for Peyton all the way but when I saw him under pressure, running and then he chucked that ball right into the Raven's hands it was like instinct. I yelled at the tv, "WTF was that sh** Bray!"
:eek:hmy:

The problem was not PM, it was the totally inept coaching staff. I love Fulmer, but that game looked like a fulmer coached team against uf.....totally in control of the game and then playing NOT TO LOSE instead if to win, right when it counts at the end of the game. Cant get 1 yard rushing on 3 tries. 3rd and 7 and all you need is a first down and you run instead of letting the greatest passer in football have the ball. Or taking a knee with 2 time outs and 33 secs in the game with a kicker that can go 59+. Huh?

As for the pic at the end of the game, it happens. How many last second buckets did MJ miss and has kobe missed in their careers? MANY more than they've made. Doesnt make them cursed or choke artists. It makes them human.

Do you even remember Manning's last two games against UF? At no point was UT "totally in control of the game". They basically got frogstomped from the opening kickoff. It wasn't all Manning's fault, but I think he had a pick-6 in '97 and two picks in his own half of the field in '96 that played key roles in the loss.

congratulations, this has got to be the most dumbest post ever. A curse are you stupid, ever here of a Jarod Mayo think the kid plays linebacker for New England. Tennessee has had several players play in & win the super bowl. Gee, didn't Lovie Smith one time coach at UT & isn't he the same coach that won a super bowl with the Bears??? Just do a favor find another time to root for.. Maybe you coulda played better in the denver game!!! As far as Peyton, knowing the whole game is on your shoulders and you've got to come up with a score because your defense woulda struggled against a good high school team. Maybe he tried alittle to hard & it bite him in the behind. I'm done, flame away.:eek:lol::mf_surrender:

losing to the ravens, at home, as a huge favorite--ridiculous. John fox---a total moron and the denver D---terrible. champ bailey needs to retire---too old and slow.

I am about to throw some stats out just from memory. This is dangerous so please forgive me if I am off a little on the numbers.

While at UT, a RANKED team lead by Manning NEVER beat a higher ranked team. In fact, Manning's teams lost to several lower ranked teams including Memphis and Florida. Lets us not forget the embarrassments against higher ranked Florida and Nebraska.

So many fans bash other UT quarterbacks for not "getting it done" but many of those guys had the same sort of stats: they just didn't beat better teams.

As much as I like Manning for his class, longevity, sportsmanship, accolades, love for UT et al, I have never thought he was the game changing legend that others believe him to be.

I am very proud of him, to be sure, but find him to be simply mortal. Is that really so bad?

Peyton did plenty to win that one. The broncos secondary just fell apart.

Peyton has been to the Super Bowl twice; won one. Has a career win % of about 75%. Been to the playoffs about ten times. Three time MVP. Pro bowl a dozen times.

I think ole peytie pie is doing ok for himself...

4 Time MVP

Even Peyton has caught the curse. This is rock bottom.

I've been thinking the Vols are cursed for some time, now this confirms it. We need a special Witch/Warlock to end this curse......did one of our previous coaches make a deal with the Devil?

Tennessee is not cursed- you make your own breaks. We fired Fulmer and hired Kiffin. If your going to fire a HOF, you replace him with a proven coach! Not only that, Hammy got a second chance to screw up by getting Dooley- another unproven coach! Mike Hamilton was a dork who was the last guy picked on any pickup game and never realized that good coaches make a good athletic program.
