Shooting is terrible, defense looks lackluster, this is not the same team we started the year with. We can only hope that Barnes pulls them out of this ditch!

I disagree. They didn't shoot the ball horribly in this game and Vanderbilt played by far their best game of the season.

I feel like the main issue with this team right now is Ziegler being out of control
Man do I get sick of losing games where the opponent “played their best game of the season”, applies to us in every sport.

Not sure we are in a dark hole. We just aren't a top 10 team right now like we had hopes we were. We put alot of pressure on this team, because we had really high expectations. We need to play a little more loose. I thought we did better tonight, just didn't finish and Vandy had a great night shooting.

Now that we are out of the SEC season race, it time to focus on spreading the ball and getting back to our inside identity and hopefully get our confidence back.

The curse of a high ranking strikes again. We start believing all the hype and forget to focus on actually playing the game.

The biggest problem is the senior big man has spent so much of the season acting like a punk without the ball instead of working his craft to be a hoss inside.

They just have no idea what to do in a tight game when they need a bucket. Up by 3 points they go Awaka against their big one-on-one, not once but 3 times. No points and no fouls. I know he had 3 fouls, but 3 fouls are not 4 fouls. 3 times, hit one and get separation. They just don't have a clutch go-to guy. If you play for getting fouled to close out the game you must hit them.

They haven’t had a go to guy since the Grant Williams teams

I thought our offense looked much better tonight. We had 24 pts from the bench, we shot 47 percent from the field and 37 percent from three, and we outrebounded them. Usually that gets us the W. Maybe tonight our three-point defense was a bit off as they hit a few more than we did…like the last one.

I have to say that last play that Stackhouse set up was genius. Don’t think anybody saw that coming. I know I didn’t.

Barnes said in post game that he told his team that Vandy would kick it out on the back side for a three ball. He called it, told his players not to allow a three and worst case the game goes to O/t. Instead we collapsed on the interior and left the shooter wide open. ON, ZZ, Phillips and Santi were on the floor. I don’t recall the 5th player but someone left his man.

That and everyone touting “the metrics” truth is the first half of SEC play was weak as hell, tough road from here

No. Stop. We lost a game last week and barely won another won. Our rank had nothing to do with this loss.
