MONSTER!!!

Speaking of edge rushers, watching James Pearce Jr. do anything is impressive, even the mundane turnover circuit. The last to go through his group on a strip-sack drill, his get-off is noticeable elite and on his rep on Saturday he just palmed the football off the blocking pad and tucked it on fell swoop after all of his teammates batted it away and had to chase it down. Pearce was a handful for Tennessee’s offensive tackles the first two days of camp from what we’ve heard.

Steel sharpening steel. Now we’re getting somewhere.

Keith will be just fine. He is more of a bruiser RB. Our other guys are speedsters and finesse guys. You see, bulldozers don't win Formula One races, but they level structures just fine. We will see him, most likely when our MRZR X multimode off-road fighting vehicles have gassed the defense. Then Keith, being our Armored Fighting Vehicle (AFV), will just plow the defense into absolute submission. Because of this, Nico's average passing per game yards will hover around 145 - 170ypg. I know this because my dog me so, and the cracked crystal ball agreed.
In other words, when Shuler is taking snaps we will see him.

You RB responders are hilarious. But, I think Nathan was saying we will have a Barry Sanders type RB in Peyton Lewis. He was one of a kind, sort of. It's a debate because when you think Gale Sayers, especially again on a muddy field, that was a guy more eel than human. But ole Barry was pinball, stop-motion animation, Johnny Quick highlight reel.
Gale Sayers was the best running back I have ever seen. Yes, better than Jim Brown and at least as good as Sanders. I have been watching football since 1945 and have seen a lot of good running backs in those 75 years.

He will have a lot of help this year on the other side. He will also be able to get some rest with the stock of edge rushers we have. The D will be really good this Fall.

Gale was a once in a lifetime back. It was inhuman how he maintained his footing in the hog pen field conditions. Back then. Which is why I snicker at wimpy players who whine just because field turf is wet. His juke moves were other-worldly, his cuts defied the laws of physics, and man, oh man, his acceleration!!! The Elroy Leon "Crazylegs" Hirsch of his time.

Now Jim Brown, he was a different type of back. He was a combination of a bulldozer and locomotive. It wasn't easy to get him on the ground. You could ram him, slow him down to a stagger, then he'd just keep going. If he got a head of steam, he'd either snow plow you, race by you if you so much a blinked. Each was best at their running style. The Jim Thorpe of his time.

Now, Barry Sanders was sort of a cross between Brown and Sayers, plus a freaking pinball. So, what was he in his time? How about Sonic the Hedgehog?

I agree. If I had to pick one and only one, I would pick Gale
