Folks please remember: cheering for Alabama because they are in the SEC is like cheering for the Devil because he is in the Bible.

Watching him brag about that on the pre-selection show was comical. I love our team but come on Bob, you beat a team that's is 4th-6th best team in the SEC. And we took you and your conference championship to OT.

To be fair, we're probably 2nd or 3rd best in the SEC.

On the one hand, I want the championship game to be 2 teams that we played, so that forces me to hope Bama wins this game today.

On the other hand, I hope its an ugly win, with controversial calls, and that their O sucks so badly that Saban is yelling in Kiff's face on the sideline, they get in a shoving match and the Gatorade has to be dumped on both just to break them up. And then OU beats the hell out of them in the NC game and half their recruits decommit.

No offense but I hate this argument. We had a chance to prove that by playing the same teams as everyone else in the league and didn't.

We're 4th at best based on record alone and us and LSU would be a toss up. And throw LSU or Ark in the East and us in the west and records could be flip flopped.

If you pull for Bama cause 'SEC SECSEC' garbage you aren't a Vol fan. You're an SEC fan. Facts. You can be a Vol fan and an SEC fan buttttt you never root for Bama. Never. Period.

I'm sitting in a restaurant in Tampa right now discussing how much we hate Alabama with a Vol fan I just met tonight.

Normally i would agree, but the Big Ten fans are some of the most arrogant fans in the world (Apparently strength of schedule is a myth to them as well) If a Big Ten team managed to knock Alabama out of championship 2 years in a row. The entire universe would be forced to deal with another year of Big Ten could stomp the SEC. I'm sick of hearing that, because the top 10 teams in SEC would beat the Big Ten 9 out of 10 games(Sorry Florida you worry me)

If Alabama winning a ball game helped Tennessee. I.E. there is a three way tie in the east and Bama is playing the team in the 3 way tie Tennessee doesn't have a head to head win against, then and ONLY THEN will I ever root for Bama.....but I would hold my damned nose while I was doing it and would never admit it in public.

I will NEVER root for another SEC School just because they are in the SEC nor will I root for ANY school we recruit against head to head. If you do, you either aren't a real Vol fan or aren't very smart.

I was pulling for Sparty but at this point I have to root for the Tigers and I wont be crazy about that.
