Draft classes report to their teams Spring Training facility this weekend, camps start Monday. The team foots the entire bill. Airlines, lodging, food, etc.

Camps consist of getting gear, signing contracts, benefits, paperwork, individual pics, draft class team pics, play & practice. Over the course of the next 2 weeks, players will get their team assignments. I.e., Complex League, Low A, High A, etc.

No one’s getting “cut”. Players are constantly moving between the minor league systems and injuries are unbelievable which is the prime mover of players. Then you have the ones that simply hang it up (attrition).

It would be interesting to take a team’s 2020 (or whatever) draft class and see where those players are.

I wonder why CFA didn't try and adjust his arm slot? Is that something you can't/shouldn't try to do during the season?

I think it is backwards. His slot got adjusted before the start of 2023. It didn't work and they were not going to change it back. I don't know the origin of the change- coach vs player. I have my own theory they were trying to improve his curve from 2022.

May have been as the result of his internal scout. Not sure… why change what’s working unless the scout was obvious.
